Radway, Vicarage Rd, SidmouthWe visited Neil's whilst we were down in Sidmouth for Easter and it was brilliant. Amazing, personal service, brilliantly cooked fish, just a superb evening all round. If you're looking for a special meal out, it should be here.
We loved that the menu changes based on the fish caught that day, just shows the freshness - the monkfish starter kicked things off and the skate wing for main had so much meat we could barely finish it!
We'll definitely be back when we're next down.

The Esplanade, SidmouthLovely lunch, really tasty trio of fish and scallops ,all perfectly cooked , washed down with a glass of Chablis, what's not to like ?
Special mention to Vicky for looking after us, nice to find a place where the chef and the front of house know their stuff.

Mocha Restaurant
Prospect Place, Sidmouth6 of us on a day trip stopped here for fish and chips and we were all genuinely impressed. The service was incredibly quick and the fish was delicious , perfectly cooked , lovely white fish and lovely batter, truly first class. The staff were lovely too. A fantastic experience all round. Highly recommend ?

Stevens Cross, Sidford, SidmouthMany thanks to the owner and staff (especially the young female member of staff) at the Blue Ball for looking after us so well after we had broken down and were waiting hours for the RAC to turn up. Even when it came time to close the owner ensured we could wait safely in the lobby and waited with us until we were successfully on our way.

Upper Deck
Manor Rd, SidmouthWe live in Sidmouth and I wanted somewhere different for my husband’s birthday. I decided on The Upper Deck after seeing the menu on line. We ate there yesterday for lunch and from the friendly greeting to paying the bill the whole experience was just great. The food was amazing (smoked salmon to start- my foodie husband asked what the tasty dressing on the salad was). My main was the ravioli, my husband had the sea bream. All delicious. The service was great too. I would highly recommend. NB we saw the afternoon tea and cakes being served to other tables, I think we’ll be back!

Donkey Sanctuary, Dunscombe Ln, Weston, SidmouthThis place is seems to be busy and I guess that's a credit to the staff and food they serve. They always have a great range of cakes and ice cream to choose from. The victoria sponge be one of my favourites, i also enjoy there burgers. Great place to take the kids and family too

We thoroughly enjoyed our evening
We had the small plate from the carvery, really well cooked meat and plenty of sides to choose from all piping hot
We also had rump steaks, lovely cut and well cooked.
The puddings were just the right portion, and bloody delicious!
Service was excellent every member of staff we interacted with was friendly and helpful.
Next time we are in the area we will definitely go in again

7 Radway, SidmouthThe food is so amazing, for the price and quantity you get, its so worth it. The food always ends up being enough for two meals. I’m so pleased with the people who make it aswell, especially the lady who owns it. She seems to have a very kind soul, its one to buy food, but its another to buy food from such a kind person, it then becomes blessed. Thank you so much, i will definitely be visiting again!!

Libra house, 4-6 Fore St, SidmouthAbsolutely delicious!! We had the soup and fruit scones and they were both excellent. Scones were fresh and warm and the soup was really hearty and tasty. All served with a smile. Only sorry we didn’t have enough room to try the cake!!

We were passing through today, really looking forward to lunch here but unfortunately it was closed all day.\nWe had planned to stop by and buy more wine, which we had bought previously but it wasn't to be.\nWe are hoping to stop here again in a couple of weeks, and hopefully buy our wine.

Old Fore St, SidmouthI'm sat in Taste, Sidmouth (speciality is their own, homemade icecream). I've just had mango yoghurt and black cherry yoghurt both of which were delicious.
A party of six, dare I say predominantly elderly people, have just come in and sat down. They are currently being served, by the two staff members, with more care and patience than I've seen anywhere in a very long time. Just so nice to see.

Exmouth Rd, Colaton Raleigh, SidmouthOur party of four enjoyed our evening meal here with one exception. I ordered fish and chips after inquiring and being told the fish they were serving was cod. The fish I was served with was the oddest cod I've ever tasted. I'm convinced it was pollock, a fish I have eaten before and am not particularly partial to. So I was a little disappointed. However, the service was friendly and polite, the rest of our party was very happy with their food and we generally had a nice evening.

Fore St, SidmouthAmazing breakfast for us three gluten-free people. Two of us had the veggie Full English - everything beautifully cooked, the other the Egyptian Beans - delicious! Also wonderful Ginger, beetroot and pineapple smoothie. Everything was so good we decided to extend our holiday for a day and popped back to collect takeaway gluten-free scones and cream that afternoon to eat on the beach. Wonderful, friendly staff, what an incredible find!

The Clock Tower Connaught Gardens, Peak Hill Rd, SidmouthWhat a Gem! On top of a cliff, overlooking the sea, beaches and part lovely kept gardens, it’s well worth a visit.
Lovely coffee and teas, paired with some lovely cakes to try! They have a small menu for other bits which looked nice but we didn’t try, maybe next time

The staff in the office are always helpful and accommodating. Our rep Alex is consistent and always on hand if we need anything. Deliveries are regular and well timed and the drivers are pleasant. Would definitely recommend them to anyone.

The Victoria Hotel
The Esplanade, SidmouthWe have just spent a couple of nights at this lovely hotel. Great location, great staff, beautifully attentive without being intrusive. Rooms and facilities were spotless, food was great, spa facilities were fab. Would highly recommend. We had a really super relaxing break, just what we needed.

Hare & Hounds
A375, Sidbury, SidmouthCame to visit my parents for a few days. Suggested a carvery here for lunch. Hadn't been here for years and so glad we did!
As you walked in the atmosphere was calm and relaxed. Then the smell of the carvery hit your senses!
I do love a carvery and hand on heart this was the best one I'd ever had.
I had turkey that was moist and so much flavour. As for the additions I couldn't not fault one of them . Only complaint was I would have liked some scaffolding so I could fit more food on the plate ?
The cauliflower cheese was my favourite and could have just had a plate of that.
So glad we went there and all enjoyed out lunches. A definite change for the better after all these years of not visiting the Hare. Friendly and attentive staff topped off with a fabulous meal.
Well done all there and thank you for a great experience!
