Radway, Vicarage Rd, SidmouthWe visited Neil's whilst we were down in Sidmouth for Easter and it was brilliant. Amazing, personal service, brilliantly cooked fish, just a superb evening all round. If you're looking for a special meal out, it should be here.
We loved that the menu changes based on the fish caught that day, just shows the freshness - the monkfish starter kicked things off and the skate wing for main had so much meat we could barely finish it!
We'll definitely be back when we're next down.

Prospect Place, Sidmouth6 of us on a day trip stopped here for fish and chips and we were all genuinely impressed. The service was incredibly quick and the fish was delicious , perfectly cooked , lovely white fish and lovely batter, truly first class. The staff were lovely too. A fantastic experience all round. Highly recommend ?

Blue Ball Inn
Stevens Cross, Sidford, SidmouthThe Blue Ball Inn is in an ideal location for access to Sidmouth and the nearby Donkey Sanctuary. It’s on a main road so there’s a certain amount of traffic noise if you have a room facing the front. The facilities are very good and the rooms are clean and very warm, even at night without the radiators on. The food is excellent and the staff were exceptional in their friendliness and service, nothing was too much trouble! Our dog was made welcome, with grassland available by the car park for short walks. Overall, we were Very happy with our short stay at The Blue Ball ? Inn ?

Upper Deck
Manor Rd, SidmouthWe live in Sidmouth and I wanted somewhere different for my husband’s birthday. I decided on The Upper Deck after seeing the menu on line. We ate there yesterday for lunch and from the friendly greeting to paying the bill the whole experience was just great. The food was amazing (smoked salmon to start- my foodie husband asked what the tasty dressing on the salad was). My main was the ravioli, my husband had the sea bream. All delicious. The service was great too. I would highly recommend. NB we saw the afternoon tea and cakes being served to other tables, I think we’ll be back!

Donkey Sanctuary, Dunscombe Ln, Weston, SidmouthThis place is seems to be busy and I guess that's a credit to the staff and food they serve. They always have a great range of cakes and ice cream to choose from. The victoria sponge be one of my favourites, i also enjoy there burgers. Great place to take the kids and family too

We thoroughly enjoyed our evening
We had the small plate from the carvery, really well cooked meat and plenty of sides to choose from all piping hot
We also had rump steaks, lovely cut and well cooked.
The puddings were just the right portion, and bloody delicious!
Service was excellent every member of staff we interacted with was friendly and helpful.
Next time we are in the area we will definitely go in again

I’m so pleased with the people who make it aswell, especially the lady who owns it. She seems to have a very kind soul, its one to buy food, but its another to buy food from such a kind person, it then becomes blessed. Thank you so much, i will definitely be visiting again!!

We were passing through today, really looking forward to lunch here but unfortunately it was closed all day.\nWe had planned to stop by and buy more wine, which we had bought previously but it wasn't to be.\nWe are hoping to stop here again in a couple of weeks, and hopefully buy our wine.

Friendly staff who are happy to answer questions (and find out if they don't know the answers), fast service and very generous portions! Good for vegans and vegetarians (both in our party), with normal meat options and a 'catch of the day' as well. No one had room for a pudding but they had a good looking menu, and most people had a tea/coffee. Easy to split the bill, didn't feel hurried - top marks!

Blinis Cafe Bar
Fore St, SidmouthAmazing breakfast for us three gluten-free people. Two of us had the veggie Full English - everything beautifully cooked, the other the Egyptian Beans - delicious! Also wonderful Ginger, beetroot and pineapple smoothie. Everything was so good we decided to extend our holiday for a day and popped back to collect takeaway gluten-free scones and cream that afternoon to eat on the beach. Wonderful, friendly staff, what an incredible find!

The Old Sawmills, Hawkerland Rd, Colaton Raleigh, SidmouthDriving an Artic the main road in very tight and busy with buses tractors and trucks I had to go up to turn my truck around and come back on myelself as a bus had no where to go blocking my entry into the road leading to entrance! Also be careful of the road going in if turning left on exit get far over as you can to the right as you just miss wall on the left with trailer! Shouldn't be sending us down here really its fine when you get in a big one way system in place clearly signed up for ambient/chilled/frozen delivery's got tipped straight away. If delivering in a truck just take your time dont worry about who is behind you we have a job to do at end of the day ?

24 Fore St, Sidmouthdecided to visit sidmouth today and came in to jar this morning with my brother, we each had a coffee. the gentleman behind the counter was lovely, young man with a constant smile, he made our coffees and brought them over, they where very tasty and at a perfect temperature, we said thank you as we left but thanks again!!! will most definitely return to jar if we ever come back to sidmouth.

Station Rd, SidmouthI could not have asked gor better, the owners and staff are so accomodating and welcoming.the hotel is so comfortable and clean, starting your day with a most lovely cooked breakfast or just cereal if so wishes.

The Esplanade, SidmouthWe have just spent a couple of nights at this lovely hotel. Great location, great staff, beautifully attentive without being intrusive. Rooms and facilities were spotless, food was great, spa facilities were fab. Would highly recommend. We had a really super relaxing break, just what we needed.

Hare & Hounds
A375, Sidbury, SidmouthCame to visit my parents for a few days. Suggested a carvery here for lunch. Hadn't been here for years and so glad we did!
As you walked in the atmosphere was calm and relaxed. Then the smell of the carvery hit your senses!
I do love a carvery and hand on heart this was the best one I'd ever had.
I had turkey that was moist and so much flavour. As for the additions I couldn't not fault one of them . Only complaint was I would have liked some scaffolding so I could fit more food on the plate ?
The cauliflower cheese was my favourite and could have just had a plate of that.
So glad we went there and all enjoyed out lunches. A definite change for the better after all these years of not visiting the Hare. Friendly and attentive staff topped off with a fabulous meal.
Well done all there and thank you for a great experience!
