Popped in for our evening meal. Excellent food. Friendly staff. Lovely environment. Give it a try.

The food was ok, but not fantastic and we waited a long time to be seated despite a booking (meaning two of the party were outside in the rain). The service was polite and functional.

Staff, location and food still A1

Just had a meal with my partner on New Year’s Eve, the food was superb, eclipsed only by the service of Billie, who was one of the waiting staff, absolutely faultless and a credit to the organisation ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Dukes in Sidmouth is undoubtedly my favorite place to dine, and for good reason. The use of tasty local ingredients elevates every dish, creating a culinary experience that celebrates the region's flavors. The warm and welcoming staff adds a personal touch, making each visit feel like coming home. The cozy atmosphere further enhances the overall dining experience. If you appreciate locally sourced, delicious cuisine coupled with genuine hospitality, Dukes is the go-to destination in Sidmouth.

Stayed in the hotel over xmas. Rooms are very small with very thin walls so you hear everything (and i mean everything). Throughout the 2 nights i stayed there i was woken up multiple times per night from bangs and crashes from rooms around us, as well as a dog barking for 5-10 minutes at 8am from another room?Shower head was broken, spot light behind bed was broken, no double glazed windows so even the noise from outside was extremely loud. 5 spiders as well as cob webs were over the room what i thought would had been cleaned at a very minimum. Probably won't stay here again but the location is nice and so are the staff.

We had a very nice meal. Although they were busy the service was very good. All the staff are very freindly. Great location, well worth a visit. We will be back.
Went for lunch. This used to be my favourite place to eat even with a round trip of 30 miles. Bit of a wait for the food order. I ordered braised beef from the specials board but the veg were cold (fridge temperature) and the mashed potato was just warm. Asked for a replacement and after some while my veg returned obviously microwaved and the beef had been scraped off the plate with half the potato and the bit left microwaved. I ended up with a bit of potato, no gravy and the part eaten beef on my plate. No attempt to make good the bad start. I eventually managed to get a waitress and showed her the pathetic attempt to present my meal in a professional way. She came back with a plate with a blob of potato and a ramakin of gravy.

Had the Eggs.Benedict for breakfast, it does have to be said, that this was an uninspiring version of the dish. The muffin was a small 'supermarket' style muffin, halved and had 1 very small egg on each half - the menu didn't specify the size of the eggs, but didn't mention Bantam was a possibility. The hame was cheap prepack style, and the Hollandaise was very thin. The service was ok, but I wasn't made particularly welcome.Speak as one finds, etc.

Service and food fantastic. I have to say the frys were best I've ever tasted, not just oven chips, but crunchy and morish

Beautiful meals here, really well cooked and nicely presented. We brought our timid dog and they gave us a seat in the corner so we could all relax.

Stopped by for dinner, had the fish and chips which were superb. Nice inside with outdoor seating area. More of an eating place rather than
