Lovely cafe overlooking Sidmouth beach, very buzzy and clearly dog friendly. We had a cappuccino, hot chocolate and cheese scones which certainly filled a gap. No offer to warm the scones but they were very busy. I'd definitely visit again as other diner's food looked well worth trying!

Lovely sea front cafe which welcomes dogs inside which is bliss on a fingertip numbing January day!My husband opted for a 2 scone Devon Cream Tea and I opted for a 1 scone Devon Cream Tea. The fresh fruit scones, jam and clotted cream were DELICIOUS. Unfortunately the tea bags used in the pots of tea were not! One bag in each pot which produced weak and listless tea, virtually no colour at all. We emptied one pot and dropped the tea bag in the other pot in the hope for some colour and taste but it was not to be! Such a shame as everything else from the welcome, decor, service, cleanliness could not be faulted. Please consider changing your tea bag selection to match the quality of everything else you stand for and serve.

The Mocha is in a great spot and I had a sea view for breakfast time. Breakfast was pretty good except for the flavour of the bacon, and the coffee was OK.Update, lovely bacon sandwich this morning ? and very friendly service.
NOT GOOD FOR COELIACSOrdered a gluten free sausage sandwich, I received sausages containing gluten within gluten free bread. Ordered some toast and felt I had to explain to them to use fresh slices and not the ones from the sausages. The staff were friendly but were not hot-on coeliac knowledge. The experience left me feeling anxious as I did not want to be unwell on holiday.2 stars were given for the atmosphere of the cafe and for the friendly/cheery staff.Dietary restrictions: Coeliac

We decided to go to the Mocha for breakfast and straight away we were met with helpful friendly staff. As soon as you walk in there is a lovely atmosphere around the restaurant, we were led to our table and given menus, 5 mins later asked if we would like to order. In summary the breakfast was lovely as were the cappuccinos, the staff were excellent and we will definitely go back. Well done to all staff?

Very good restaurant. Good food and friendly service. Also, dog friendly. Only suggestion to make-the salad given to my vegetarian friend would have been much improved by having less cucumber and adding sundried tomatoes and a decent fresh dressing.Vegetarian options: See comments above.
