Fantastic hotel with a spectacular position right on the fringe of Sidmouth beach and town. Amazing Spa facilities and first class dining. Will be back soon! Did not stay so was unable to rate the rooms but would imagine from what I saw they are

A splendid find in Sidmouth for a weekend stay. Hotel and staff were wonderful and the hotel was ideally located to be able to walk to shops, restaurants and other places of interest.Walkability: Highly walkable

We stayed one night here and were bowled over by the incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Nothing was too much trouble - especially the receptionist and the barman - both clearly enjoy their work and thrive on providing an 'above and beyond' excellent service to customers. A rarity these days.Rooms: Very comfortable spacious room with tasteful furnishings,

We stayed for one night here and really enjoyed our stay. The view from our Seaview room was absolutely fantastic and the amenities in the room were good. The bed was really comfortable providing a brilliant nights sleep. I think perhaps more information could be provided at check in about the spa, dinner, breakfast etc and service overall could be better in all areas. Spa area was nice but quite small and if busy you will struggle to find somewhere to put your robes/towels etc, i did later see it on the website but note that children are allowed in the spa at certain times so you might want to consider this if wanting a peaceful swim. Breakfast was tasty, small continental buffet and you can order a dish from the hot selection at your table. Views are incredible even in winter. We would stay again if in the area.

We stayed before for my 70th Birthday in June 2021.It was amazing, our room was upgraded to a sea view with balcony, with a complimentary bottle of wine in our room, along with the complimentary gin and tonics in each room. The food and staff were fantastic. Couldn’t fault anything, felt very well cared for.We will be back!Rooms: We were upgraded to a fantastic room.Nearby activities: Easy walk into town of Sidmouth, with shops and plenty of places to eat.Safety: Felt very secure.Walkability: Easy walk to beach and town.Food & drinks: Food outstanding, good menu. Drinks reasonable priced.

Fabulous views, lovely staff especially Heather in the restaurant, she went above and beyond to add to our pleasurable stay. The food was superb. Rooms we had were outside of the main hotel. Lovely decor, nice size, comfortable, complementary coffee machine and gin! Just missed 5 stars as little lacking in soundproofing. Spa treat okay and spa area small but acceptable.

A beautiful hotel, with a lovely spa, food, view and staff.

Took advantage of special 2 night offer, albeit, didn't receive a free glass of bubbly on arrival. However, we did receive a room upgrade. Service was a little hit and miss apart from Heather, who was a star. Would recommend Harbour Hotel group.

Dreadful experience on a spa day. Supposed to be a nice relaxing treat, but masseuse failed to turn up and after 45 minutes a manager finally arrived to explain that the person was on a training course and wouldn’t be in all day. They managed to find an alternative for one rushed and pretty unpleasant 22-minute massage, but cancelled the second one for later in the day. They eventually and reluctantly agreed not to charge for the full spa day (we didn’t even use the spa, there was no time left after waiting so long), but insisted on charging full price for the massage even though it was rushed, unpleasant and the lady was grumpy about having to do it at all. The whole visit was a really unpleasant experience and to be charged anything at all was an outrage. Manager refused to come out and discuss it, leaving a hopeless receptionist to insist there was nothing she could do. Avoid this unprofessional place like the plague!Edit: The therapists absence was not unexpected as you claim in your response, she was booked by her manager on a training day. We were not offered a refund except for the spa day component which we were unable to use because of the delays. The manager did come and speak to us around 45 minutes after the first session was due to start, but when we queried at the end why we were still being charged full price for a stressful and sub-standard massage, she refused to come back out and the receptionist just kept saying there was nothing she could do. I’m very disappointed with the less than accurate response, but not surprised given our experience on the day.

Not bad value with special 2 or 3 course lunch offer, but with no vegetables with main courses adds £5 to prices. Food itself is good but be aware of drinks prices. We had non-alcoholic wine and was very good but at £10 a glass!!

Loved our stay at the Harbour Hotel Sidmouth. Fantastic service, the staff couldn’t do enough for you. Nothing was to much trouble. Had a fabulous facial in the spa. The hotel had been recently refurbished. Bedroom had comfy bed and crisp white bedding. Complimentary tea, espresso coffee machine with pods, biscuits and even a complimentary gin and tonic in the room. Food was great for breakfast and evening meal. And location by the sea and walking distance to shops, bars and restaurants. Would definitely stay again. My only critic would be the spa and pool area could be a bit bigger, but that is just me being picky.
