This is as a traditional pub as you are going to get. Owners were really friendly and the food menu was spot on. This pub is located off the main road but is very easy to find. Not much parking outside but there is a road opposite, which is where we parked. These sort of hidden gems need to be supported so definitely pop in if you are local, even if it's just for a drink.

Unfortunately, this is an old run down place that hasn’t been updated in a long time. There was no music which made the place even more unwelcoming.. The staff weren’t really trying to be nice and I felt like my presence was a nuisance in itself. Sorry but if I’m going to be charged close to 10 pounds for a panini, I would certainly hope it would be more than a piece of bread with a couple of crisps. The selection of drinks were meagre. And not sure how, but they also have managed to give food poisoning to two vegetarians! This place could really do with a makeover.

Welcoming and clean, if dated pub. Good value standard fayre.I defy anyone to see the ladies pink carpeted toilet and not see the seventys!

Been here many years ago, still a lovely confortable feeling when you sit and converse with the locals and proprietors.

This pub is nothing like it's website! Do not be fooled. Shabby run down pub the menu that's on the website does not exist..be warned....

A small, dogfriendly pub that surprised us by serving excellent food! I had chicken with bacon in creamy pesto sauce with tagliatelle and roasted cashews which was delicious. My partner had the steak pie and loved it, perfect pastry with lots of meat in very tasty sauce.

Lovely, quaint inn. Very good standard of food and a warm open fire whilst you enjoy a drink. Off road parking and friendly owners.
