Fantastic cakes and all food homemade. Lovely staff. Really enjoy sitting outside on nice days. Highly recommended.

Second visit. Savoury and sweet pastries, juices, homemade soups, sandwiches. We just ate sausage roll, sweet potato soup, sausage ciabatta with freshly squeezed oj and a turmeric juice. All perfect. Best in Tavistock.

On the plus side it’s a small but cosy cafe, service was good though not overly friendly, the coffee was very nice and they allow dogs. There is a large display of cakes and savouries at the counter which looked good but we were there for breakfast. Ordered the large cooked breakfast which was very expensive at £14, as opposed to £9 for a smaller version. Not only was it expensive but it wasn’t large either: whilst it had quite a few items (bbq beans, tomatoes, mushroom, egg, ‘sourdough’ toast, sausage, bacon and sweet potato) all apart from the tomatoes were pretty small. A single sausage, 2 very small rashers of bacon, single mushroom, very small quantity of beans (no bad thing as they were a strange vinegary/sweet concoction). Nicely cooked to order but I dread to think what the smaller version was like. The sausage was not good quality, very much like a cheap supermarket one and the bread was quite a long way from a decent sourdough. I know it’s been tough in hospitality and costs have gone up a lot but this was the worst of all worlds, expensive, not great quality or quantity for the price. Other half had a bacon sarnie which was again mean on the ingredients an expensive for what it was (about £8 I think). Left feeling a bit ripped off I’m afraid and wouldn’t go back.

This was our second visit and couldn’t fault the food. Great choice and fresh delicious food. Just wished we lived nearer as we are in Dorset. Highly recommend a visit here.

The coffee is hot and delicious (the tumeric latte especially) and the selection of cakes is great and they are amazing. The service is friendly and efficient too. Highly recommended!

My husband and I are visiting Tavistock and wanted a delicious coffee that was from a local business and we were guided by a Google search to Mime. The coffee was prepared perfectly to order and the takeaway cups kept it warm for ages which was appreciated My husband also bought their cookie pie which was the most gorgeous slice of gooey deliciousness Compared to the disinterested and lacklustre service we received from a chain coffee shop not too far away Mime will definitely be getting as many repeat visits as possible while we're here

Amazing cafe with lovely outside seating and amazing home cooked food. The Delicious Quiches are freshly made and change every day with 4 varieties available most days. Sharing dipping Chocolate platter with home made waffles, chocolate brownies, strawberries and banana was excellent. Highly recommended.

Lovely place for a coffee and a light bite. Was quite busy which is always a good sign for a place.

Tasty vegan breakfast a bit different to the usual fry up with no horrible fake meat sausages. Not the cheapest but worth the money. Vegan cakes and plant based milk too.

Lovely little tea shop. Enjoyed a smoked salmon and cream cheese ciabatta. Thankyou

What a lovely find. We were wandering Tavistock (which is a lovely town to visit, by the way) and stopped at Mine for lunch. The place has a homely, friendly feel, not least because of the two young ladies who were on duty today, very professional and friendly. You know how often you walk-in a place and all the staff completely ignore you doing whatever they’re doing, there was none of this at Mime, the young lady mostly on the till always said hello to people who came in and gave a cheery “I’ll be with you in a minute” if she was busy. The food was outstanding, home made and delicious, even the coleslaw that came with the quiche was homemade. You might miss Mime if you’re in Tavistock as it’s up an alleyway off the Main Street, but it’s definitely worth hunting out.

We found this lovely little café hidden away, the first visit was for coffees which were excellent. We then returned the next day for a lovely breakfast. Gets a bit busy but it’s a must visit.

Seriously good food for this little hidden gem. Been twice now and great both times. Everything cooked to order with freshest ingredients. Super little spot. Great quiches!

What a poor attitude. We arrived at 14:30 looking for coffee and snack. I asked what gluten free options they had. The young lady pointed to the carrot cake , when I asked if they had anything else, such as gluten free bread the older lady interjected, rudely that the cake was all there was. We left.

Amazing array of delicious cakes, tea, coffee, hot choc. Friendly staff and a cosy atmosphere.
