Excellent service, great food, friendly atmosphere, pleasant surroundings, and toys to keep younger children amused. Fantastic. What More could you want.

Very poor meal. Roast was luke warm, curry was un exceptional. Shame as used to be really good, not so now. Has Chef changed?

Had a disappointing lunch here today - around £5 for small piece of cheesy garlic bread, my partner had curry that was exactly like a supermarket curry / rice and naan. I had a club sandwich and the first bite I had a piece of bone/cartilage or similar in the chicken and it really put me off , I only really ate the bread. They had lots of staff and they were very good - it’s just a shame about the food. I saw others having cooked breakfasts and those looked good. Outside looks really nice and inviting.

Lovely friendly cafe with an excellent menu that caters for all diets. Good choice of beer, wine, coffee, tea etc, and if you can manage a pudding (I couldn't) they look excellent. Just off the town centre on a side street and overlooking the river, search it out, you wont be disappointed.

Totally spoilt with the constant influx of dogs. Not assistant dogs just pets. Awful, and i like dogs in the right

Having been there several times last year and been really pleased, it was not up to the previous standards. Although service was lovely, the portion sizes had decreased, as hungry cyclists, it was disappointing. The portion of chips was tiny as was the amount of humous in the baguette and no taste of chilli sauce. The salad it came with was also a tiny portion.

Go every Monday, the best breakfast in Tavi in my opinion.Perfect for a quick meal or a long chat with coffee.Scones are also amazing and generous with the jam and cream!

Bloody smashing breakfast & nice hot coffee. Great spot by the river, even on a dull day the area at the back of the indoor section opening onto the decking is nice & bright. Lovely friendly service. Will definitely be back to try out the limoncello spritz when I'm not driving!

We have been here lots of times before so when we had a couple of hours to spare in Tavistock we popped in for a late lunch. The staff are still as lovely as ever but what a shame about the food. I am not sure what had happened to the couscous but it was in hard lumps. I told the girl who came to check that it it was weird but I was just going to eat around it. Whist eating the chicken I nearly broke a tooth on something hard that turned out to be a bone with a razor sharp point to it. The young man who came to clear our plates apologised immediately and did so again when he came back with our bill which has been reduced by a couple of pounds. He handled the situation perfectly but I am afraid I won’t be coming here again.

Fantastic cafe. We had fish n chips & burger n chips for main. We loved both dishes, burger was especially really nice, thick n tasty. No greasy chips here. Coffee, walnut & carrot cake for afters carrot cake was to die for. Defiantly be visiting again.
