As proud northerners, originating from Grimsby, we hold fish and chips in high regard! This chippy was amazing, chips were almost like mini croquettes and were absolutely lovely. Would thoroughly recommend!

It is not often you find a chip shop, that has very nice chips, the batter has to be one of the best I've had, the staff are all friendly, and for a busy chip shop, the service is very efficient.There are 6 chip shops within half a mile of my house, but the wife and myself, on a Friday night, would rather travel 14 miles, for a meal we know, we will enjoy.

I don't understand how you can boast about frying in palm oil, which leaves a bad taste. The children's menu is all fries and a small sausage.
The food was really lovely but far to many staff behind such a small space, all on top of eachother and queuing out the front door.

What can I say... I had a rough day today... One of those proper flustercuck days when the universe is all dead arms and wedgies and out for your lunch money... However thanks to a spontaneous and I suspect not uncommon act of purest goodwill from the hard working staff and TJ's & LJ's fish and chip shop, I may yet go to bed with a smile and a belly full of tasty chips... Top marks, trust me folks businesses like this should be rewarded and you belly will thank me...
