Cafes in Teignmouth

“We are regular visitors to Teignmouth, but this is the first time we have called into Finley Browns for lunch. It wasn’t busy and we had a lovely table by the window. I ordered tomato and red pepper soup, whilst my husband had a tuna and sourdough sandwich. My soup was absolutely delicious with a warm baguette on the side. My husband was delighted with his sandwich which was very generous, and accompanied by a side salad and some crisps. I would’ve liked to try the cakes, which looked delicious, but I couldn’t manage anything else. The staff were lovely, the café is comfortable and a little quirky, and all the other customers seemed to be enjoying themselves and their food. We will definitely return.”

“Gammon egg and chips good but took a while to come. As have a 2 year old maybe good idea to have some activity sheets books to occupy them or let customers know if there is an unusually long wait to stop little people getting frustrated and hangry”

“This is a lovely café on the front at Shaldon. As it was my last day I opted for their cream tea. I was brought 2 slightly warm fruit scones with a pot of jam, a pot of clotted cream and a pot of real English Breakfast tea. There was plenty of choice on their menu and it all looked wonderful!Vegetarian options: There was a good choice of vegetarian and vegan cakes, I don't know about main courses as I didn't lookDietary restrictions: Quite a lot of the cakes and scones were gluten free”

“Consistently good and great views over the estuary. Despite the miserable weather we had a wonderful breakfast. Full Sailors with everything and it was delicious. Even my partner who is vegetarian rates this as a great breakfast. For me though the one shot Americano is too strong especially if you don't take milk and I onnly had half a cup. Otherwise its well recommended by us.”
