Subway
17 Wellington St, TeignmouthLike any other subway really. Only problem is parking. There is a parking warden patrolling often, so if you park where you're not supposed to.... Be prepared for a parking ticket.

Apart from in the extra fried bread I asked for. Tea was hot and strong and the roaring fire and Christmas decorations made the atmosphere lovely. Service was fast and friendly.

The Ferry Boat Inn
4 Strand, Shaldon, TeignmouthA little gloomy towards the back as it goes so deep into the building, but a nice atmosphere. There are three areas - the bar as described, an upstairs seating area with great views of Teignmouth over the estuary, and a covered area on the beach which is right outside the pub just across the road. An outdoors kitchen on the beach part. It was too early in the season (March) for food service when we were there. A pleasant and friendly pub with some local real ales as well as lots of other choice of beverages.

The New Quay Inn
New Quay St, TeignmouthOur visits to Teignmouth often involve a walk along the seafront and ending at the Back Beach, with time for a drink or two before the train home. It is a lovely spot to sit outside with a pint to watch activity on the Teign, and is clearly very popular with the locals.
