Looked everywhere for a breakfast with a view and found this lovely place, friendly staff, great food and wonderful views. Would recommend this cafe.Food & drinks: All day breakfast was just what I needed, couldn't fault anything with the food. Service was very quick as well.

While passing through Sheldon, we came across this cafe and decided to stop for breakfast, we decided to sit outside with a view of the sea and without a doubt it was the best choice. The breakfast was delicious and worth it.I recommend the visit.

Popped in for an early lunch because of the bad weather. What a wonderful find.A very organised cafe, lovely seaside decoration throughout. Excellent service, great food, friendly staff. Thoroughly enjoyable.

Delightful café and justifiably busy on a wet Saturday lunchtime.Dogs are welcome and if their owners are coeliac then they can cater for them too. They have a separate fryer for gluten free and will substitute across their menu. They do gf bread and have a menu available via QR code where you can select allergens.Food was delicious, staff super friendly, patient and helpful. We had brunch - great variety including lots of vegetarian options. The atmosphere was lovely and areas have clearly been updated recently. Plenty of seating upstairs and down, right by the beach and a stone’s throw from the Teignmouth foot ferry.

Staff were lovely - friendly and efficient. There was one vegan cake option (tiffin) which was very nice and we had the burrito and soup for lunch which were also very nice. Gorgeous views over the river.

This is a wonderful little cafe with food to rival the best food you can expect from local pubs. The staff are friendly and I would highly recommend a visit.

Has to be one of the spots in the area, absolutely amazing views, and if you eat outside the ambiance is even better!Food & drinks: Fantastic breakfasts served here, highly recommended

We were literally staying next door in one of the beach huts, and decided to pop in for brunch on Remembrance Sunday after the local service. It was very busy - we must have grabbed the last table upstairs, but the staff were unflustered and smiled throughout. Service was quick, however, and the food spot on.

Massive portions and lovely tasty food - loved the vegetable croquettes and the best gingerbread latte ive had.

A great little beach side cafe, often quite busy but worth the visit. Good food options and plenty of ice cream flavours.

I haven't been here for a couple of years but had a walk over from Teignmouth to Shaldon. Now holiday season is over it was quiet. I sat outside with the nice view down the estuary. Only had a cappuccino but this was one of the best I have had for a while. Service was quick and friendly.

Nice spot but terrible coffee. Extortionate, tasteless coffee. Don’t rate the service either. More staff than customers and it still took a while before I was even acknowledged. Not particularly friendly.

After a visit to Ness beach we walked back to Shaldon & a seafront café recommended by Ethan's grandparents who live locally, that we'd driven past, on our way to the car park. The welcome was friendly and there were some inviting cakes to tempt us before we selected a table outside overlooking the estuary yards away and sitting in the sun and the shade mid to late afternoon, seating was comfortable & well located. After checking the menu we all elected for various seafood dishes & ordered & paid at the till, prices are not cheap but the quality of food and service we received, offers a very definite value for money. Portions are generous, lots of cheese on the cheese & garlic bread, a good portion of scampi for me, generous well cooked chips and a large portion of mushy peas, no skimping, the sauces were exemplary. The guys enjoyed their seafood platters, generous whitefish, generous everything, again with stunning sauces, we shared & ate everything & the drinks, Earl grey tea, a good pot, three cups, expensive but superb, Ethan loved his beers and Chris enjoyed his lattes. So much food, the guys declined the option of sweets or cakes & I politely agreed, but they'll be every bit as good as the generous starters and main courses I am certain. The environment was pleasant and quiet, the staff so friendly & attentive, everything was cleaned & cleared as quickly as possible and they were busy even though it was well into a Sunday afternoon, deservedly so. Highly recommended I will be taking my seafood loving sister & family there when they visit me in Exeter in future & together with the enchanting village of Shaldon, we'll all be back visiting & make a bee-line for this amazing café.
