4 of us chose the January set menu. 3 courses for £20 what excellent value for money. The food was excellent and not small portions. Great customer service.

We visited Rockfish Torquay after a good experience at the Dartmouth branch earlier in the year and was not disappointed. It was New Year’s Eve and they were short staffed but you could not tell apart from the way the staff were flying around making sure everyone was looked after on a busy night. Rockfish - those 3 staff deserve a bonus for that night. Could not fault them or the food. The monkfish scampi starter was lovely as were the tacos and the seafood gratin. The only slight disappointment were the chips were not as good as Dartmouth but we only ate a few so no issue.

We were going to be a bit late so I rang and Scott said no problem!! We received a lovely welcome from the delightful Katie! The restaurant was very busy for a Tuesday night!! Our food was delicious! I had hake, my Husband had Haddock and my Bro had Monkfish! All very nice! Tried in vain to get a taxi and Scott (Manager) came to the rescue, and got us one fairly quickly!! Nothing was too much trouble! We had a lovely evening!

I ate here on 8th OctoberThe food and drinks pair nicely and food is all cooked fresh. Super delicious! Friendly and efficient staff. We ordered 2 ray wings and a calamari to share.Only improvement was that the ray wings could have been cooked a little longer.

We had a ride out to Torquay to get us out of the cottage after Storm Cairan. Came upon the Rockfish for lunch. Could not fault a thing. Excellent service and food. Even dog friendly. Can highly recommend.

Long story but cancelled table as kids would t go. Ended up leaving them at the arcades and, despite being late in the evening, the manager AJ kept the kitchen open and served us a beautiful fish dinner. Perfect service and great food. Avoid the rest and go to the best!

We loved our visit to Rockfish in Torquay. We were so pleased they also did a chicken dish. We opted for Rockfish and unlimited fries, mushy peas and curry sauce. We were blown away by the quality of our food and amazing service we received. The fish was beautiful and crispy batter. The mushy peas added an extra definition along with the curry sauce. We asked for extra fries and the staff were more than happy for us to have as many as were wanted. All the food was lovely and hot and served super quick. The location of this fabulous fish and chips venue is perfect as the harbour is just outside along with many shops either side of the restaurant/shop. Fresh caught fish in the coastal area is superb. 10/10

Wine was served chilled and felt like it had been sitting for a few days. We also ordered chips for two and they came out in an 8oz cup. To be fair they were unlimited refills but they could have mentioned the portion size. When we told them about it they refunded the wine which was good but they weren’t apologetic and didn’t offer a solution regarding the chips.

Great Location, Fresh Fish, Good Service & Really Made Our Break Away Special.

Great local produce at a reasonable price. It's simple dishes with great quality ingredients. It's not a big place, but there is some outside seating looking over the harbour. There is also unlimited chips refills, which means you don't need extra sides for anyone choosing a salad. The fish options are variable with the daily catch from Brixham, which you can see across the bay. Great play for a casual meal.

This restaurant faces the Marina so ideal for getting into the mood for eating freshly caught fish. The reception we received from the waiting staff was first class and the premises appeared clean. The menu is centred around fish and on the evening of our visit there was plenty of choice. Fish like Dover Sole and Monkfish are expensive (almost £40 per portion) and are not available every day. We chose Norwegian Rockfish and Hake which are about half that price and appear on the menu as standard fare. It was nice to taste fish of a different flavour to Cod and Haddock but, to be truthful, I could find nothing exceptional in the fish that we chose (hake was better than rockfish). The chips (apparently limitless) were well presented in a small pewter bucket which kept them warm. This restaurant is certainly worth the occasional visit as a change from other fish and chip restaurants but do note that the rather small portions here make for a more expensive meal. Perhaps I’ve got so used to Cod that I fail to appreciate the more delicate flavours that are on offer here.

Great food, great service. Dog friendly too. Would return. Dessert was a bit small & underwhelming but otherwise great night out.

We have been eating far too much fried food and next to no vegetables since we arrived in the UK, so when we arrived in Torquay we decided to find fresh fish with vegetable side dishes. We strolled along the harbor and found Rockfish, with outdoor seating, space heaters, and loads of amazing fresh dishes. The food was delicious - I had the fish tacos while my husband had the mussels - and plentiful, the service was prompt and solicitous without being in our faces, and the location is unbeatable. If we are ever in Torquay again, we’ll definitely stop by Rockfish.

Had to make reservations. Right on marina. Small place. Noisy kitchen. Couldn’t hear ourselves speak. Extremely expensive. $30 cod dinner. Although fresh caught. Husband got ray and it was mostly cartilage. It was my birthday. Asked for dessert menu. Never got one. Staff hurriedly and noisily cleaning tables as we waited for dessert menu. Left without dessert. It’s a boardwalk restaurant so I guess it’s normal.
