Have been going here when in Totnes, since the 70’s! Always good. However, in July this year, I had a bad experience. The vegan quiche, was inedible! The pastry not cooked, and the sauce tasted like raw flour! Could eat very little of it.I told the waiter and the chef, who said ‘ most people don’t eat the base’!!I described it as grim! Left hungry and no compensation!! So an expensive, disappointing lunch. The salad was great!I don’t feel inclined to return, such lack of concern about the feedback! Disappointing after all these years!

We have been going to Willow for over 20 years as the staff have always been very helpful and friendly plus the food is excellent. However since August this year the people who now work at Willow are aggressive, unfriendly and offensive. Today the person who served us was particularly unfriendly and offensive. I would like to suggest to the new owners that a Customer Experience course would be very helpful

Spinach and Feta filo pastry pie totally delicious.

We stumbled across this cafe while looking for a place for lunch. We were after 2 pm so some things on the menu had run out but what we had was very nice. The staff were friendly other than the waitress who served us who was quite unwelcoming and, at times, rude to us and other customers. This would put us off going back if we spotted her there and she would benefit from some soft skills and customer care training.

Just the best Vegetarian Cafe I've visited in a long time. Dogs are welcome in the lovely garden in the back. They have a great seating area there that has a Marquee so rain is not an issue.Food was excellent as was the coffee. All with both Vegan and Vegetarian options

We had a wonderful meal in this amazing cafe whilst on a mini break in Devon. It really couldn't be faulted at all. The food was delicious, and the portions were huge. Everything seemed freshly made and was just gorgeous. So much care had gone into the 2 meals my husband and I had and we just loved them. The puddings too looked gorgeous, we'll definitely be back for one! The staff too were so friendly and helpful and it just felt like we were dining in a lovely house. We loved Willow and will definitely go back next time we're in the area. Thank you to the staff for giving us a great evening.

Lovely little restaurant however only stayed for a drink due to the waitress. From the offset she made us feel uncomfortable and was down right rude; not hospitable at all. Decided to pass on staying for a meal and went somewhere where we felt more welcome.

Outstanding food. Lovely and fresh. Thoughtful menu. Love this place. Relaxed athmosphere. Would highly recommend.

Visited the Willow today 15th July at a friends insistence I didn’t like the look of it...worn pine tables, slightly slovenly Aged cutlery The menu was short and we decided just to have drinks and a feta cheese muffin Dreadful..choking oh dry, like bird seed My cafetière coffee held one mug of bitter grounds, thank goodness I’d asked for hot water both pots leaked The whole restaurant needs deep cleaning, and generally smartening If this is vegetarian, what was on offer would have been improved by a steak

The spanakopitta was tasty which I'd definitely like to have again. I found the stir fry with spicy peanut sauce to be quite dry. Staff were pleasant, ambience was calm with eastern/Asian music playing softly in the background.
I've been coming here for maybe 30 years and it's been amazing every single time. The food, the vibe, the staff...I don't know anywhere else like it.

We were looking for a lunch spot in Totnes on a wet day that was child friendly and allowed dogs without success… until we eventually found Willow - which helpfully had a sign outside that said dogs on leads were welcome and there was a kids menu! Food was delicious - I’d agree with previous reviews that the cheese scones are amazing. The child ate a vat of humous and pitta bread and the dog chilled out. Willow wasn’t what we were looking for but we were very thankful we found it!

Visited the Willow Vegetarian and Vegan Restaurant a couple of times while in Totnes last week and can highly recommend it. The service was fairly quick from friendly staff and the food was colourful and tasty, with good portions. Was particularly nice to enjoy some imaginative side salads, so different from the rather boring lettuce, tomato, sliced red onion and cucumber side salads that many places serve up. Prices were reasonable. The restaurant is popular and busy.
