We had good reports from a few of decided to try it out, we were inthe back room which was cold had to keep our coats on ,other diners were moving to be next to a radiator .The staff were friendly the pub was busy with people eating a fine selection of meals,liver and onions steaks all looked lovely .we went for glazed ham eggs and chips an easy meal the ham didn't appear to be glazed and tasted a bit processed the chips were terrible , 3 times cooked chips should be chunky and fluffyThese looked like they were cooked 3days before and were so thin it could have been potato peelings. Needless to say we won't be back.There is a lot of good here and unless we were the unlucky customers to get the last of a batch of chips ,change how you cook your chips

Always good! I have been doing to the Drake with friends, family and customers for several decades. Food, beer and company always good
We really love visiting The Drake all year round. A traditional cosy pub with an open fire for colder days and a nice garden for summer days. Good selection of drinks on offer and the food is delicious. The staff are always very welcoming, as are the locals. And our springer is always greeted with lots of love and cuddles, which makes it even more of a gem. Highly recommend after a good stomp on the moor.

Booked in for a roast after reading the good reviews and was not disappointed! Amazingly tasty roast dinner and delicious pudding, service was great, atmosphere perfect and overall had a lovely time. Looking forward to coming back again!

Excellent traditional village pub you wish it was your local , friendly staff ,Super Sunday roast beef and the chicken. Tasty meat & gravy, proper roast potatoes with parsnip,carrot,cabbage, swede mash, French green beans , Yorkshire pud a good plate full.
