The White Thorn Inn

Had a lovely lunch here today. Nice big carpark. Kids play area and beer garden.

Nice welcome as we arrived, fire burning , very cozy.

Had 3 bean chilli on chips and a creamy chicken and bacon pasta dish, both really tasty.

Bathrooms were spotless.

Will visit again.

The Larder Yelverton

Very busy. Full of cyclists so couldn't stop in there to get food. Got a breakfast sandwich. It did the job.

All the produce, looked wonderful thought.

Drake Manor Inn

Fantastic pub. Went as a group of four and there was an excellent choice of food on the menu and the specials board.
The service was superb and the staff were friendly. The food was extremely tasty a d filling. A good choice of drinks. Will return when I'm next in the area.

The London Inn

Lovely staff, amazing food and good portion sizes. Yep I ‘get it’ when reading one of the views below complaining about foul language coming from one of the guys at the bar, but at the end of the day it’s a pub, and the staff have to balance not upsetting their regulars but at the same time not driving other customers away because of it. Also there are tables below in the ‘restaurant bit’ away from the main bar. Unfortunately swearing is part of some people’s normal conversation, but I just close off to it and enjoy the lovely food!

The Skylark Inn

First time at The Skylark , we wanted a nice Sunday roast to meet our family , found The Skylark and was not disappointed. Lovely local pub , homecooked food , nice ale and friendly. Real local pub but really helpful and great service .

The Leaping Salmon

I booked three rooms at the Leaping Salmon for myself and my bridesmaids to get ready in before my wedding. The staff at the Leaping Salmon were very accommodating and the breakfast was delicious with great coffee and vegan and vegetarian options. Definitely recommend :)

The Old Police Station

I've enjoyed lunch here the last two weeks, nice staff and service. I'm a lover of egg and chips, and think this is now my favourite place for lunch. It is also a fish and chip takeaway shop as well as cafe. Maybe that is why the chips are so nice, lovely tasty eggs too. Thankyou.

Warren House Inn

​We stopped at the Warren House Inn today for a traditional lunch and it was fantastic. We are visiting from Canada and loved the rugged, historic atmosphere of this remote moorland pub.
​We had the Ploughman’s lunch with both the ham and cheddar options—everything was fresh, delicious, and exactly what we needed. The setting is stunning and the service was great. A must-visit if you're exploring Dartmoor!

The Walkhampton Inn

Just spent 2 nights at the Walkampton Inn Walkampton lovely large room warm clean and tea coffee, lovely full English breakfast very tasty .staff and owner very helpful,looking forward to returning later in the year to sample evening meals.Nigel Ward.

Royal Oak Inn, Meavy

Lovely food great atmosphere. A friend recommended and recommended to a friend who also loved the food .
Visited again today we both had pie and mash . But we decided to share a scotch egg starter. OMG !!! ( please don’t like them leave them for the rest of us) They are the best EVER…

Dartmoor Brewery

We discovered the brewery by chance on our Dartmoor bike tour and stopped straight away. Bought the Legend and the Free with glasses. Very tasty beers and very nice souvenirs.

The Rock Inn

We popped in here over lunchtime for a lovely meal. It was mid week and quite busy. The menu was clear and there was lots of choice. Staff were super friendly. The steak and ale pie was huge! Loads of chips, peas and gravy too. The veggie burger was also good. The toilets were clean, with plenty of good quality soap. There were also a few parking spaces outside despite being busy. Parking tip - if you are coming from the Plymouth or Tavistock direction, don't be tempted to come off the roundabout at the car park by the shops as there is often a queue and parking fees. Head towards Princetown and take the first exit on the right after the roundabout. this takes you to the pub car park.

The Forest Inn

Lovely pub out in the sticks, well worth the lovely drive for it's views and proper ales on arrival. Food cooked fresh and chef goes out of his way to ensure all catered for.

The Famous Chippie

So I only had chips, don't want to ruin my dinner, but these are some top tier chips. It was quiet in there, but it's a Tuesday and near the end of lunch time. Offered wrapped or in box, which I had as eating them there and then.
Very friendly and polite, chips 10 out of 10, it's on my way home and will stop again for sure. I will have to try some other items on the board.

Curry Express

Amazing food, we were unsure of what to go for, we were asked what sort of curry we usually go for and we tried something new, and it was delicious. Great service, definitely worth the trip from Plymouth!!

The Plume of Feathers Princetown

Passing through so we thought we’d try for Sunday lunch. The carvery was shut for Sunday?But they did have plated beef or chicken. We went for the beef and weren’t disappointed. Ample portions and the flavours were great.
Staff were really helpful and polite.
All in all a great experience

Back again. Didn’t fail to disappoint. Booked a table this time. All ready and waiting for us.
Had the 2 meat option. Beef & Pork this time. Both were tender and tasty. Plenty of veg choices to accompany the meat.
Another great meal, hopefully we’ll be back sooner next time.

Best decision I've made in years, totally ignored my addiction to the Costa machine next door and was enticed by the smells of fresh brew wafting from Scarlets.... Breakfast Bap and fresh ground latte later and I'm hooked, first class cheery service from Jade. Highly recommend wether you are starting your day or just fancy a snack, Breakfast bap (sausage, bacon, egg, hash brown) and latte £5.50. I saved over £3.00 by not using the machine and reheated offers next door at Co-Op

Jasmine Restaurant

Wow we've just had the BEST meal at this amazing restaurant in Yelverton. The food was delicious, the staff were very pleasant and kind and our 2 courses and drinks were seriously good value for money. They do takeaway as well but really the restaurant experience was truly 5 star. Thanks to all at the Jasmine!
