We’ve known Ben for a while now. But this was our first visit to the pub. It’s a little out the way for us but we know bens food is second to non. We were not disappointed. My only criticism is it’s so nice we ate far too much. It’s the next morning and I can still hardly move! Great hospitality, great food, lovely old pub, very tasty cocktails. Booked for lunch for 5 on Mother’s Day and we had a first class meal. The team were busy but service was excellent, friendly and spot on. I shared a spontaneous lunch here with a friend. The atmosphere was so welcoming, relaxed and warm. The service was wonderful, the fire was roaring, and the food was out of this world, beautifully displayed, abundant and tasty. I will definitely be making this a regular thing!

Stopped here for an hour on an ale run, place is neat, tidy, clean and spacious, is well run and has friendly helpful staff. A nice selection of drinks and food tops this place off very nicely.
We stopped at the leaping salmon on route to another pub and stayed all night! The food was fantastic, as was the service with the most friendliest staff. A great selection of well kept beer and lovely organic wine. The highlights were Bens 50:50 burger which you have to try. Would highly recommend a visit!!!

We stopped here for an impromptu lunch. We hadn’t booked and they had some Christmas parties going on, despite this, they couldn’t have made us feel more welcome. The food was amazing and it was lovely to meet chef Ben who was out of the kitchen and happy to have a chat.We will definitely be going back.

Just popped here for a spontaneous dinner out with our two big dogs.Straight away greeted with a warm welcome and the amazing service continued throughout.Food recommendations were spot on, and the options for gluten free and a vegetarian were plentiful. Delicious food, quality service and we will be back to stay with the pooches asap! Thankyou boss lady.

They had festive name tags which was a lovely touch and Christmas crackers too! We booked in advance, picked our food and they accommodated all allergies and food dietaries.
