The new management at The Skylark have done a good job of turning around this pub. It was full for Saturday lunch. Not a particularly exciting menu but well cooked and including a variety of vegetarian options. Friendly staff and St Austell brewery beer.

We arrived just after they finished catering for a wedding and yet the meal was great the staff and landlord were very friendly even though clearly tired after a long day.

Great place to eatNice location, parking good, hosts welcoming and staff friendly, had the carvery many times which was really nice and great value for money. Nothing more than I expected as have been there several times now, always left happy. Definetly recommended and would suggest booking first if going for a Sunday carvery.Parking: Plenty of places to park either within pub grounds or on the street on the days I have visited.

It's one of our favourite places for pub grub. Nothing fancy, just traditional pub food done properly, with great ales and ciders in a traditional country pub. Sit inside or in the large beer garden. It's the perfect stop off just yards from the cycle path or after a walk on the moors. It's also very dog friendly.Parking: Lots of free parking available.

They were so welcoming! Landlord was hilarious with my daughter and all staff so kind. Lovely

Party of 5 for lunch with a dog too. Good pub food and ample portions. Very nice that the dog was able to come as well. A busy little place, we did book online as was stated but staff did not get back to us to confirm this so we had to ring up on the day again to make sure we had a table. Other than that a great family lunch.Vegetarian options: Good choice for vegetarians.

A friendly and welcoming pub on Dartmoor next to a cycle route 27Excellent food and good selection of beers and lagers. Wine available.Family and dog friendly.Recommended.Parking: About 10 spaces off road but no limit to on road parking right by the pub. It's a relatively quiet road.Kid-friendliness: Children welcome as are dogs.

Lovely little place for a meal. Leah, the server, did a great job of giving us a good table. The only down downside was the group of locals who hogged the fire and called us 'oldies'. It won't stop us going back again.
