Food was average to good, we went for the Sunday roast (lamb), with some starters of the menu. Starters were rather good, but we’ve had considerably better roasts, but fine for the value. Staff service was bad, for example we asked to see a menu and eyes were rolled, orders were very rushed and by the staffs body language we felt rushed to finish our food. The atmosphere and service collectively made us feel unwelcome, we’re not local and it felt like we stood. Wouldn’t recommend and wouldn’t go back.

We have been staying in Mosterton for a week and having booked this pub for their carvery roast on Sunday we have been back everyday for lunch. The specials are amazing and varied. The gravy is scrumptious. We were lucky to get a free table.My friend had a veggie dish and I had haddock florentine with seasonal veg (a little too 'al dente' for me!) and a large spritzer.Wheelchair accessibility: Essentially step-free though some help with the doors may be needed.

First visit here and it was really good. It was based around the carvery (for Christmas pre booked meal) which I was a little worried about but needn't have been as the quality of the vegetables was excellent. I had vegetarian option instead of turkey and that too was excellent. Very reasonably priced and the place was full (on a Wednesday lunch time). Service was efficient and friendly.
