Fantastic landlord! We only had some complementary roast potatoes ( which were delicious) as there was live entertainment on but the menu looked fantastic. It's now on our list to go and eat there.

Delightful little vegetarian cafe situated in the heart of West Dorset - Beaminster.Little quirky, lovely atmosphere and super friendly, the gentleman whom served me today couldn't have been more welcoming and friendly, as we're the other staff too.Hearty vegetable soup, piping hot and two wedges granary bread left me feeling ready for little nap - please note, no sleeping pods on site - go on, get off your backsides ,stop looking for your next Amazon delivery and get your butts over to Beaminster !

West Dorset CAMRA pub of the year 2023, mercifully rescued from closure by the good people of the local community. This pub is tied to the Palmers brewery, but that’s no bad thing - my two pints of ‘Copper’ Pale Ale were in fine form.As is often the case nowadays, be it economic imperative or local preference, the pub is dining-focused and has been configured into a single large room with an identikit interior. As a result, it does lack some of the atmosphere of a traditional country pub where saloon, snug and dining room are separate. That being said, the food was home made, cooked to order and of a high standard; and the service was warm, friendly and attentive. If it was up to me, I would turn the lights down and the music off. Nevertheless, it’s a great blessing that this pub’s future has been secured. Well done to all involved.

Wow wow wow!! The best lunch! The steak pie was absolutely delicious, with melt in the mouth chunks of steak. Luxury hot chocolate was the best hot chocolate I've ever had. And the coffee was smooth and delicious. We were very full after a big plate of food, but the cakes were way too tempting to resist so took some to go.Absolute local treasure! Great menu from local produce. Thank you!

Great tasty late afternoon breakfast and toasted scones. Friendly service and ambience. The cafe is a family run business and is located off the main square in Beauminster so could easily be missed. It was a Monday and most of the cafes were closed and the few that were open had only cold food so it was great to find somewhere serving warm food. Look for the orange sign on the square or outside the cafe. The cafe has artwork and crafts on display as well as books and is light and bright.

Not your average restaurant, not too big, food was well above anything i've had at your usual restaurant and not that more expensive,i paid just over a hundred for 2 starters,2 mains and a 30quid bottle of wine and it was well worth it,nice area too, portion sizes were just right and there no children messing up the atmosphere so it's a nice break, just a lovely chilled out good quality evening for grown ups, plus the waitresses didn't hassle us every 10 minutes, excellent all round and i recommend any parents take an evening out there and unwind,we'll be going back soon(!)

Had the advantage of visiting on a quiet day but in wonderful sunshine - sat outside and lunch was delivered quickly but clearly all hand prepared. Great coleslaw and balsamic dressing, and varied menu choices. A little bit expensive perhaps, but setting and quality was worth it. Friendly staff and relaxing meal.

Great central spot for travels to many other attractions in the area. Generous room, very clean. All interactions with staff members very positive & helpful. We had dinner on the Tuesday evening was an outstanding feature of our stay, best food we'd had in ages, the arancini was the best I've had anywhere, Lamb and sea bass cooked to perfection. The restaurant doesn't open for food in the evenings on Wednesday but we enjoyed the Mexican van that offered food on site, very fresh tasting, something different. Would definitely recommend to others in this charming part of the country.

I go here often for my chinese. Best chinese i have ever had and i love my chinese and have been to countless places. Great food. Great service and good prices. Was a bit gutted that it is minimum £20 on card as my order is normally about £19 but that being said i can see why they do it as they get charged per transaction and there is a free cash machine in the co op up the road so its easy to phone the order and get cash on the way.
