Havent eaten but heard that the food is very good. But a friendly young man behind the bar and a cosy, warm atmosphere.

Well kept ale, excellent tasty meal and a friendly landlord who was clearly enthusiastic and taking pride in what hewas serving. Recommended.

Fantastic Sunday lunch - really hit the spot - all made from scratch by chef Adam and is the best around. The Stour do a family sharing roast - there is so much food and it is really good value - we all left full and happy. The owner is brilliant and has taken care to slowly revive the place after covid and it looks and feels like a homely local pub and is a great place to take family and friends. Highly recommend.

The food was fantastic! Lovely friendly staff couldn't be more helpful. Really good price main around £18 but lower cost options available burgers ect....pan fried chicken, cabbage, smashed pots ? ice cream homemade is perfect. Highly recommended.

It was my birthday so I booked a table at the stour inn a week prior to eat a steak meal with 7 friends. We all live over an hour away, on the way there was some traffic so I was running a little late but wasn’t far off and gave them a courtesy call to let them know. They then told me the chef has called in sick today so they would not be doing food, I had to ring and tell all my friend some of whom were sitting outside the pub. A phone call would have been appropriate I was embarrassed and deflated… lucky I managed to salvage the trip, I found a local steak place nearby called Jerrys steak house the quality of service and food was impressive they even had the same “ unique salt boat chips” So all turned out well.

Literally the most dire food I have ever tasted. The steak was ridiculously chewy, rocket unwashed and fried fish tasted frozen. Either the people leaving good reviews have absolutely zero food standards or they're fake reviews. The waitress was miserable and nearly turned away our custom upon arriving. Would unfortunately not recommend this place for food. At all.

Went for Christmas day lunch as a treat to ourselves Food was superb from start to finish, nothing to criticise. Highlights were poached salmon starter, braised beef near perfection & and the colour changing sorbet among many highlights Congratulations to Matt & his team, a great success

There are quite a few pubs in Blandford Forum the Stour is probably one of the better food focused pubs. It also stocks decent local beers. Each night the landlord has a different offer on the Wednesday night when we popped in for a drink, steak and wine deals featured, whilst on the Thursday night when we ate an excellent meal, all double G & Ts were £6.

Lovely cosy pub and the food was terrific, I would say this is definitely the best place to eat in the area.
