Iwerne Courtney, Blandford ForumDELICIOUS - I had the moules mariniere (on the specials board) My gorgeous hubby had the flat iron steak and both were Superb with a capital S!
Portions were large and left you feeling comfortably full which is exactly what you want.
Staff were lovely and naturally welcoming.
Wine was perfectly chilled plus and they had a large selection of non alcoholic options for my hubby, so he was a very happy bunny.
Highly recommended - Excellent!

Namaste Gurkha (Blandford Forum)
11 East St, Blandford ForumFirst time eating in at this restaurant with my girlfriend.
Genuinely felt such a nice atmosphere with the food being really tasty and great portions.
Above all this the service was exceptional, waitresses were so helpful and kind , made the experience so laid back and enjoyable.

8-9 Georgian Passage, East St, Blandford ForumGreat little restaurant. Friendly staff and good food. Very busy was a full house of about 40 people eating. A bit short on staff as they wernr expecting it to be do busy. But we had a lovely meal . I had the drunken duck. Very tasty with a spicy sauce. Served with sticky rice. Sorry about the picture I was too eager for food. All very yummy.

The Talbot
Blandford Rd, Iwerne Minster, Blandford ForumI've passed this pub several times but haven't needed to go in, but this time my daughter and I want some to eat after a visit to Bath RFC on entering the pub it was busy but there was a table for two, after friendly banter with the South African landlord our meal came out which was very tasty and plentiful, the cost was very reasonable and would recommend this pub any time.?

Being an Ex baker of 35+ year's and my wife working in the bakery industry for many years we both, really appreciated the quality and flavour of the pizza base's. The owner and staff were lovely.. can't recommend Brasserie 65 enough. If you are in the area and want a proper pizza. Pop in..

Tasty Takeaway
36 East St, Blandford ForumChanged chef? Not up to the usual standard, been quite disappointed last two times.
We have out usual go tos, but twice now there has been very little ginger in the chicken and ginger(2 small slices this time), house special rice was more plain with a few bit thrown on top.
Whats with the brown gravy like plum sauce?
House special Chow mein was really greasy, missing, sprouts, spring onions (1 tiny piece).
Hope chef is just temporary!

33a East St, Blandford ForumWe are eight miles from Blandford, but living in a small village in the countryside we decided to give China City a try instead of our usual takeaway of choice in Wareham. We were not disappointed at all. The food was delicious, there was plenty of it and it was good value for money. Far better than we would get from our usual takeaway and much quicker too. I will however add we ordered our meal on the Sunday following New Year, so probably fewer orders to contend with.
The lady serving was incredibly friendly and welcoming.
We will definitely be using China City as our takeaway of choice from now on.

I ordered the combo meal which consists of two 10” pizzas, 6 chicken pieces (big ones) 3 portions of chips, a 1.5l bottle of fizz (choice of options) a portion of coleslaw and a garlic bread pizza. Cost with delivery was £30. A huge family meal that would easily serve 4-5 people of split. You can’t go wrong for that. The food was hot, the chips hadn’t been over cooked or refried which is a bonus in my books. Their delivery team are amazing, we had Tracey and she helped by bringing putting my Pepsi in the porch. A lovely family run business who do go above and beyond and will always rectify any issues if you have any.

Tarrant Monkton, Blandford ForumWe were on a long road trip back from Portland (Dorset) and stopped here for a birthday lunch break— and we’re certainly glad we did. The venue is lovely, the staff are welcoming, and the food is excellent. The complimentary soup was a pleasant surprise and a great way to start the meal. We thoroughly enjoyed our starters, and the mains were both generous and delicious, all perfectly topped off with the obligatory sticky toffee pudding. ?

The Stour Inn
5 Dorchester Hill, Blandford St Mary, Blandford ForumWent for drinks with friends. Was a lovely atmosphere and great service. Drinks were great and really reasonable prices. Only downside, one of my friends is in a wheelchair so called ahead to see if there was appropriate access. She was told they were 'step-free' so no issues with access! On arrival there was a step down onto the pub and then 2 steps up to the seating area (there was extremely limited seating by the bar without steps).
Fortunately my friend is not easily put off and her husband is able to assist but this was definitely not step-free!

The Anchor inn, West St, Shapwick, Blandford ForumA very friendly pub, the Landlord offered a sample of the Otter Black before I bought it. The menu is basic, but the white bait and chicken burger were pretty good. I might pop back for the pizza night in the summer.

Echo all of what Georgina said in her review + I loved all the thoughtful details in the food, and had to hold back on making noises of appreciation in avoidance of making a scene!

Bournemouth Rd, Charlton Marshall, Blandford ForumBeautiful relaxed pub, with friendly staff and good food. Stayed here overnight with the family. Ideal spot if you want to visit the Jurassic Coast for a day. We went to the Square & Compass pub at the coast and did the hike along the coast line.

23 Salisbury St, Blandford ForumWe have driven past here a few times and thought about popping in, today we booked a room at the crown hotel so we walked up to have a drink in this place, so glad we did, such a warm welcome from all the local punters and staff. We spent a couple of hours here and had non stop conversation. Fabulous atmosphere and lovely people. Clean toilets and dog friendly.

4 Greyhound Yard, Blandford ForumA lifesaver for a vegan with a dog; a little hidden gem tucked away in the corners of Blandford Forum. The place had a lovely welcoming environment, with vegan sausage rolls, vegan toasties, vegan cakes and oat milk for various seasonal drinks. The staff were so lovely and decidedly dog friendly, not to mention, the coffee and hot chocolate were absolutely delicious.

The Gorge Cafe
59 East St, Blandford ForumThis was one of my favourite experiences in a cafe ever. Me, my partner and our friend had come a long way, and I was looking for a big breakfast for my lovely boyfriend. What I found was indeed all sizes of breakfast, but the most lovely welcoming atmosphere with kind & funny staff eager to welcome you. It was charming, quirky and excellent food. I do wish this cafe was less than 4 hours away from me, but if we ever return we'll be sure to make a visit. Highly recommended, absolutely fantastic.

Unit 1A, Luccombe Business Centre, Milton Abbas, Blandford ForumSuperb full English breakfast, with meat from the nearby farm shop. Very good value, as the £13 included a pot of tea and unlimited toast. Friendly lady, Debi, looked after us. Free parking. Note that you should book the full breakfast the day before.
