Namaste Gurkha (Blandford Forum)
11 East St, Blandford ForumTip top! Loved it, downstairs is tiny with 4 tables I think but the upstairs is massive. The food was great, if you're like me and don't like heat the stick at 1 chillie ? although the menu says they can adjust any dish to suit your taste.I'll definitely be going back ?

The Cricketers
Iwerne Courtney, Blandford ForumWe booked Sunday lunch here as we were going for a walk up the bit hill (Hambledon?) beforehand. We really wanted a roast but were initially put off by some bad reviews. We had starters- both nacho types- delicious! and then based on our waitresses recommendation one of us had the beef roast. It was generous and tasted great. The potatoes were better than the ones I make at home which seems to usually be hard for a pub to achieve with en masse cooking. The other mains were fine/good/no complaints but the roast was the winner. Our waitress was brilliant. She was very attentive, friendly, provided kids cutlery and checked in regularly to see if we had everything we needed. There was a nice atmosphere inside and the playground just across the road was a great plus to enjoy after we'd finished the meal before going home.Thank you

The Forum Frier
Salisbury Rd, Blandford ForumCalled in this establishment whilst passing through blanford. Nice clean chippy and friendly staff. Ordered mince beef and onion pukka pie and chips. Was a little shocked at the cost of the pie whopping £4.30 for a pie that retails for around £2. Understand business has a mark up and needs a profit margin perhaps I'm out of touch. Chips delicious.

Jerry's Kebab and Pizza
10 West St, Blandford ForumI don't really understand the negative reviews here, this was the best kebab shop I've ever seen and the best experience I've ever had using a takeaway.I messed up by not using the justeat app and the order wasn't ready when it was meant to be, I completely understood and the team went about making our order as quickly as possible and didn't mind us hanging out with our baby until our food was ready.Said food was incredible, very tasty and the portions were unexpectedly HUGE. The chips were delicious and we are very grateful for the patience shown towards us when I was the one who messed up the order. We are looking at visiting the wine bar sometime this year, it looks so good, clean and well kept.

Simla Tandoori
12 West St, Blandford ForumJust looking for somewhere to eat on Thursday night. Had walked past Simla earlier and it was empty, as it was when we walked down later. Thought this can't be good, but hey went in and what a surprise, the food was absolutely delicious, I could have happily licked my plate. The staff are excellent as well, very polite and helpful, first class.Totally recommend Simla - one of the best curries I have had the pleasure to devour!

Domino's Pizza - Blandford Forum
48 East St, Blandford ForumI was in blandford last week for the birthday party at my friend’s place, we all decided to order the food we decided couple of options for veg or non veg but I decided to get a pizza so I ordered from domino’s blandford forum and it was so good absolutely on point, perfect pizza. Moreover, the manager on duty (Ramesh Kumar) was very kind and polite gentleman and knowledgeable about his work and team. Unfortunately I felt bad why people are not encouraging the good food and people around them.??

The Royal Oak
6 Dorchester Hill, Milborne St Andrew, Blandford ForumTerrific little pub just a short drive from Blandford. We are most probably their least regular, regular customer they have. Started going there about 12/13 years ago when holidaying in Dorset we always pop in when in for a meal. A Great little pub with a lovely garden and a great restaurant / bar area. Food is all homemade and excellent. They have daily specials and themed evenings, like Steak Night and Pie Night. Puddings are to die for ! - Highly recommended.

Yellow Bicycle Cafe and Deli
30a Salisbury St, Blandford ForumLovely little cafe - their baker, Rhe, is fabulous! Her as a person as well as her stunning cakes. It was pure luck that I stumbled across her business page (shared by the cafe) - so after being let down by two other bakers, Rhe literally came to my rescue! She is an absolute magician with the deadline she had to create my daughter's first birthday cake (especially with it being so close to Christmas!). She is an extremely professional, kind and talented individual. The cake was absolutely exquisite (she nailed the brief!) - it immediately brought me to tears when I collected it. After getting it safely home and having a closer look - the attention to detail was impeccable and it was evidently made with so much love and passion. It was a HUGE hit with my family who have already started spreading the word about her business as well as wanting to use her for other, upcoming occasions.I cannot recommend Rhe enough for anyone seeking not just a cake, but a work of delicious, edible art. She as a person radiates warmth and will do everything in her power to create the perfect cake for you. Thank you, Rhe, for making my daughter's first birthday unforgettable - you are an exceptional baker and I will be returning! Xx

The Stour Inn

Anchor Inn Shapwick
The Anchor inn, West St, Shapwick, Blandford ForumBar and waiting staff are fantastic - welcoming, helpful and totally professional. Therefore it was a tad disappointing that on a second visit and ordering the same dish, the mushroom stroganoff, it was not the fresh tasting mix of flavours as the first time, but tasted a bit of a mush, with very little evidence of mushrooms. This won’t stop me going again however, as it might have been the chefs night off!

The Old Ox Inn
Shillingstone, Blandford ForumReally nice atmosphere and dog-friendly. They have a bowling alley, which I didn’t use but thought was an interesting addition. Glasses were full to the brim, so you know you’re getting your money’s worth for drinks. Waiters and manager were very polite and friendly. I didn’t think service was slow, but they came out and apologised anyway for the wait and seemed really lovely about it. Very nice service The food tasted alright. Did think the food prices were a bit too high, but this wasn’t a huge problem
