Only had a drink, yet was warm (cold night in March) and ales were well looked after. Also, landlord a nice chap.

My first time visit to this establishment was a positive one. Really attententive staff, for a predominantly public house. A really warm welcome and assistance to accommodate our 6-person party. A daytime visit with excellent table service. Our order requests were quickly and efficiently completed. I did notice the customer based service. The establishment was a traditional pub, but the quick service was very noticeable. Staff were very professional. Menu and selection of drinks were impressive. The only minor improvement that i could identify was to swap the use of a transport cafe style metal teapot to a china/porcelain one. I'd definitely return again in the future.

After a blustery walk on the beach with the dogs we came here for lunch today.Lovely friendly welcome from a young lady on the door who showed us to our table. Comfortable table for the five of us & 2 dogs where we had a drink from the well stocked bar. Great selection of beers, ales and spirits on offer. Our food was hot, freshly prepared & very tasty. We all commented on how lovely our meal was, especially my wife who had the fish cakes off the daily specials. My daughter even found room for dessert a sticky toffee pudding. Highly recommend this dog friendly pub.Nearby activities: Beach 2mins away

Great bar welcoming staff and great drinks on this occasion we didn't have food but as we are in West Bay often we will definitely be back. The staff clearly enjoy what they do perfect example of "great customer service"

Food was hot (i had fish and chips) but a bit bland. Presented well. They catered for a big party but i think it overwhelmed the staff a little bit. They weren't hot on clearing empty glasses away or checking everyone had refills. They were friendly enough though.Desserts were standard and reasonably priced until you got to the £10 slice of cheesecake! Lol. Some of the table purchased it and it tasted very nice but i thought it was slightly overpriced. It was also quite cold. My eighty year old father was very cold and so was my pregnant sister.Overall it was an ok experience. We met in the middle for a family celebration. I think we will try somewhere else next time but for a pub drink after a coastal walk i would recommend.

We went for lunch and had the Lunch Special £12 for 2 courses (Mon-Fri).The small fish and chips and mushy peas was yummy and plenty big enough. We asked to take away the brownie which was also yummy once back at the campsite. The bar itself is ok but nothing special.

To many dogs while eating for me if a pub is cashless its not a pub in my eyes. Apart from that food was fine and friendly.

Just back home from a flying visit here. We often stay in.around West Bay but last night we booked our first night here.Really great location, very easy parking and the best veggie breakfast we’ve ever had (apart from mine, obviously ??‍♂️?)Special mention to young Ben who really is a hotel manager star in the making. He is incredibly attentive, aware, and a pleasure to converse with. We’ll be back here again soon.

Sadly something they said was gluten free wasn't and I was ill a few hours after eating here..... It's a shame as the place was lovely, the staff polite and seemed knowledgeable and to position of the pub is great.
