We have been visiting Seagulls for the last 15 years, whenever we're in Dorset. The food is always superb and the service friendly and efficient. Their Sunday roasts are the best ever and fish dishes are perfectly cooked. Highly recommend.Vegetarian options: The Thai butternut squash curry was delicious.Kid-friendliness: They were so adaptable when it came to our grandchildren's needs/choices.

This place is a hidden gem. I had the best tortilla I've ever tried and I'm looking forward to comingback to trying the other great stuff on their menu. Everything is homemade. The attention was really good alsoJust a suggestion: I'd add a sign out front saying there is space to sit at the back. I almost missed it!

Rachel's

Lucky to get a table on the last day of their season. Far earlier than we would choose to eat but so glad we did, especially as it was such a beautiful day to sit outside. Exceptionally warm and friendly welcome and service. We chose fish and chips and the fish stew. Chips were outstanding and the fish flavoursome with a very delicate batter. The fish stew was outrageously good and I probably bored my partner rigid with saying so after every mouthful. Would happily drive the 4 hours to experience Rachel’s again.

The local brewery were going to close this pub but locals bought it out. One downside is that they insist on their average beer being sold on the bar. Welcoming pub though with good following. If only Palmers would allow some tasty beer in...

A lovely pub deep in the heart of Dorset. Friendly service and some wonderful home-cooked meals from local sources (including the owner's own garden) made for a wonderful evening. Exactly what this Londoner visiting Dorset was looking for. It's a privately owned pub, which makes it very different from the big chains. There was sincere care and attention to details. We really enjoyed ourselves. Will definitely go there again when in the area.

I don't say this lightly, best roast dinner I've ever eaten in a restaurant. So good.We had some really nice Mexican cocktails to kick it off followed by nachos as a starter. I followed the starter up with roast chicken which had the most amazing chorizo with it and a perfectly cooked Yorkshire pudding. My wife enjoyed the portobello mushroom.5/5 for sure

We have had the pleasure of staying at the delightful Fernhill Hotel near Charmouth several times and we would rate it as outstanding in every respect. There is always a warm welcome on arrival. The extensive menu choices are delicious with high quality ingredients and plenty of options for those with special dietary requirements. The rooms, some of which enjoy wonderful countryside views are superbly appointed, very relaxing and extremely comfortable. We are always looking forward to our next visit from the moment we leave.

We visited Saturday 9th March 18:00.First time here and we loved it.The service and checks were great, all the staff lovely. We were a bit greedy and shared 3 starters, mixed grill, super sized prawns and a sheek kebab in a roll. All were nice.We were checked, and I mentioned the flavour of the batter on the prawns was very neutral (expectation was it would be stronger). They insisted that they would deduct 50% of the cost, even though we stated in was a very minor criticism, and we ate them all.Mains were a chicken tikka pathia, a lamb rogan josh, masala dhal, saag cauli and a keema nan.Every thing we ate was glorious, fizzing with taste, clean and lovely. It’s clear that this restaurant is very serious about its food, and the quality was outstanding. No surprises that we couldn’t eat it all, and they kindly provided doggy containers and a bag for taking the surplus home. What was left was eaten for breakfast the next day, and was just as good as the main event.Well done to the staff and management. We intend to make this a monthly treat, and was well worth the 20 mile each way journey from Weymouth.Thank you ❤️?

We came in twice on Valentine’s Day and a couple of weeks later as we were craving some Italian food and saw on Google that this was proper Italian cuisine, we booked in a table on a platform online which was extremely easy and fast. The atmosphere was lovely with low lights and some flowers on the tables, the place is like a true market food type place that you find in Italia, as it’s an warehouse it was a bit cold and unfortunately the air conditioning it was turned off before 21 pm so it made us feel a bit uncomfortable and had to put our jackets on.The food it was exquisite, we were amazed for such delicious and quality Italian food here in the South which compared with all Italians around it is extremely hard to find.We had the Italian board to start on both times which I highly recommend, we tried the medium and the large one both came with different meats and cheeses it was one of the best boards I have ever tried the meats and cheeses were extremely delicious high quality and the price comparing quality it is great. Even the olives and the sundries tomato that I usually never like were also one of the bests I tried, good quality olive oil as well. I personally loved the fennel salami and the truffle cheese. The pizzas were also stupendous they are freshly made you can tell and all the ingredients they sell on the house, I loved the aphrodisiac pizza is a must try with the chestnut honey and delicious ndjula, we also had the one with artichokes that was not so bad either. The porschetta was very good and delicious, very similar to when I tried first time in Italy. The desserts were excellent too, the mixed Italian pastries are a must as they are fresh and delicious, the affogato was also great but the biscuit with a wine dessert it was poor as just one small biscuit came, we wanted to pay extra and have an extra cup of dessert wine and actually wanted to pay extra for two glasses and they didn’t sold us even when we were willing to pay extra apparently is just for the dessert. The wine list although is not extensive it is just fine with a great selection of Italian wines, we tried two different rossi and were great. The staff are efficient and the service it was good also, this is definitely a great place to visit if you’re around as the vibe is unique and the food amazing. I recommend booking in advance as it was nearly full.Vegetarian options: You can choose from the menu or request.Parking: Parking available just in front.Kid-friendliness: There’s a pizza kids menu with drink for £10.

Had a coupled of great nights at Xmas. Best mulled cider I've ever had. Lovely atmosphere.Good selection of beers too and not just ales and IPAs - e.g. why have Fosters when you can drink Budvar imported Czech or Dortmunder imported German lagers? The Czechs invented lager. The German's perfected it. The landlord clearly knows his beers and ciders.

Stopped off here for cheap & cheerful fish & chips in October, had 4 staff but only one was serving so took a long time to get service. Fish & chips had salad stuff & sweet corn with it, was ok for the money, was my second time in 2 years I had fish & chips there & may do again some day, a load of starlings flew on to the table and started eating stuff from the plate. Took a video of them. One of them took a third of the fish so had to eat the fish & chips quick while it was still there, there's hundreds of starlings at West bay and its always good to see them as there's not much else to see there apart a load of motor bikes that have ruined west bay

Beautiful day with the hat festival in full swing. Liked the look of this cafe from the outside so went in to take the weight off. Feels like a family run business. Seating in and outside. Had a to queue a while which was a bit cramped but the cake and coffee was tasty and reasonably priced. With Costa next door there is competition a plenty but they have a nice feel and touch that should set them above a franchise. Will go again when next in the area.

This is a little gen, tucked away on the end of an old railway line. in West Bay. We have been here a few times now, we make the mistake of ordering the Sunday lunch "fat controller".It wasn't a mistake really but don't like wasting food, there was so much, so if you are hungry, we recommend it. There is a large range of cocktails to choose from, the food menu choice is extensive and can be viewed online, we recommend you check it out. The Sunday lunch and locals lunch, during the week is good value if you are watching the pennies.

Very impressed with the quality and modernity of this space. I'm old enough to remember it being the library – they've done a brilliant job of the renovation. We were warmly welcomed by Rachel, and the spaces are perfect for a variety of coworking. The kitchen facility with coffee machine is great to have too.
