Sundorbon Indian Restaurant & Takeaway Delivery

Not one for leaving reviews usually, especially whilst I'm still sat in the restaurant, however just had the best Indian meal ever (and I've had a few?). Been visiting Bridport for 10 years and can't believe we've missed this gem. Staff were absolutely amazing, food out of this world. Definitely be back next time.

Mercato Italiano ltd

We came in twice on Valentine’s Day and a couple of weeks later as we were craving some Italian food and saw on Google that this was proper Italian cuisine, we booked in a table on a platform online which was extremely easy and fast.The atmosphere was lovely with low lights and some flowers on the tables, the place is like a true market food type place that you find in Italia, as it’s an warehouse it was a bit cold and unfortunately the air conditioning it was turned off before 21 pm so it made us feel a bit uncomfortable and had to put our jackets on.The food it was exquisite, we were amazed for such delicious and quality Italian food here in the South which compared with all Italians around it is extremely hard to find.We had the Italian board to start on both times which I highly recommend, we tried the medium and the large one both came with different meats and cheeses it was one of the best boards I have ever tried the meats and cheeses were extremely delicious high quality and the price comparing quality it is great. Even the olives and the sundries tomato that I usually never like were also one of the bests I tried, good quality olive oil as well. I personally loved the fennel salami and the truffle cheese.The pizzas were also stupendous they are freshly made you can tell and all the ingredients they sell on the house, I loved the aphrodisiac pizza is a must try with the chestnut honey and delicious ndjula, we also had the one with artichokes that was not so bad either.The porschetta was very good and delicious, very similar to when I tried first time in Italy.The desserts were excellent too, the mixed Italian pastries are a must as they are fresh and delicious, the affogato was also great but the biscuit with a wine dessert it was poor as just one small biscuit came, we wanted to pay extra and have an extra cup of dessert wine and actually wanted to pay extra for two glasses and they didn’t sold us even when we were willing to pay extra apparently is just for the dessert.The wine list although is not extensive it is just fine with a great selection of Italian wines, we tried two different rossi and were great.The staff are efficient and the service it was good also, this is definitely a great place to visit if you’re around as the vibe is unique and the food amazing. I recommend booking in advance as it was nearly full.Vegetarian options: You can choose from the menu or request.Parking: Parking available just in front.Kid-friendliness: There’s a pizza kids menu with drink for £10.

Tamarind Indian Takeaway

Amazing food, my family got a takeaway from here last night. It was ready right on time and the food was excellent. I had a tikka jalfrezi, spicy but with so much flavour. The saga aloo was excellent as well. Itlooked like they had a lot of orders on when we went to pick it up so very popular in the area.

The Station Kitchen

Nice restaurant with a great concept. Some sort of confusion with our booking (we did have a screenshot of it) meant we ended up in the group carriage which wasn't great as we were a table of two (sat side by side) and it was very noisy (not the actual fault of the restaurant). The staff were amazing, very attentive and went above and beyond. The starters were a little underwhelming but the main and desert were excellent. I would go there in the future if we visit the area again.

Klin Klans Thai Cuisine

Ended up here on Easter Friday after not being able to find space in a pub - and how lucky we were! Both had a prawn laksa which was extremely superb with plenty of prawns, and all the other food coming out the kitchen looked fantastic too! Definitely would

Admiral's Restaurant and Bar

Nice hotel with distant sea views and plenty of parking. Staff were friendly and efficient, food was good. Room was comfortable. What could be improved - internet and TV reception is not great, water pressure for a shower is very low. It is down a very narrow lane and if you meet a car (or even worse a truck) coming the other way you may need to reverse. Probably a lot better in summer than November as you could enjoy the patio

The Pymore Inn

The Pyemore is our family local and we often visit for their Wednesday Quiz night and on a Friday for their Steak Night. It has such a warm, welcoming and cosy atmosphere, food is fantastic and Alex and his team are great. Cosy in the winter and a fab beer garden for summer, would highly recommend a visit!

Number 10 Cafe Bar - Bridport

Best night and day place to be at. It’s an affordable price for all you coffee and drink needs. The food menu is small but filling with the big breakfast on offer ?

NEON

Its so nice and refreshing to see a daughter and father run a nightclub together in Bridport. Working with your children can be extremely challenging but these two seem to have it nailed. Id hate to work with my daughter and I know she'd say the same, ha. Great stuff. Cant wait for some live music to accompany the new Neon vibes.

Taj Mahal

Delicious food one if the best Indian restaurants iv been to and iv been to a lot the staff are so welcoming and friendlyThe portion size of the food is very generous can't recommend

Watch House Cafe

This has to be the best food in West Bay. The prawn linguine is the best I've ever had, and the Sunday roast is really nice. Each table has its own heater above the table, which is a great touch, and it's situated right next to the beach. Also have live music. Deffenatly try this if you're in West Bay.

Domino's Pizza - Bridport

Understaffed but these guys kept it going and with a joke or two amongst them. Only downside is having to pay for the parking, 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week. Even the harbour and beach parks stop at 1800 hrs.

Hive Beach Cafe Burton Bradstock

Many fish and sea foods only. Fresh and very tasty. They are very dog friendly, you can buy some food and drink for your dog as well. Outside and inside sitting available. You can also get takeaway. ?

Ivy House Kitchen at Groves Nurseries

Fabulous pea soup with local bread. Gigantic prawn sandwich with lemon mayonnaise. Take a look at the photos. Yum ?Next visit: we can also highly recommend the apple cake and the coffee and walnut sponge. They make an excellent latte as well.

Chicken Land & Pizza

Pizzas are good.However at times lacks consistency. Sometimes pizzas are amazing other times a bit meh. Busiest takeaway in Bridport I think so deliveries can be slow on certain days.

Soulshine

This place is a hidden gem. I had the best tortilla I've ever tried and I'm looking forward to comingback to trying the other great stuff on their menu. Everything is homemade. The attention was really good alsoJust a suggestion: I'd add a sign out front saying there is space to sit at the back. I almost missed it!

Lord Nelson Hotel

We stayed at this hotel as we were in Bridport for a wedding, the staff couldn’t have been more welcoming! We were first greeted by Harry behind the bar & then Nicole the owner & they made us feel comfortable & relaxed. The rooms were lovely & clean & the beds were really comfortable. Although they don’t offer breakfast they recommended a place across the road, The Green Yard where we had an amazing breakfast with lots of choice. Would definitely recommend this hotel, value for money!

Longs Fish and Chips

Went there for a small works xmas do, very warm inviting plaice ( fish) get it, anyway the meal was fandabadoobie could of eaten it again after an hour, staff were very friendly quiet until we got in there, but again can not fault it, they do a nice fish and chips as well...?

Rachel's

Lucky to get a table on the last day of their season. Far earlier than we would choose to eat but so glad we did, especially as it was such a beautiful day to sit outside. Exceptionally warm and friendly welcome and service. We chose fish and chips and the fish stew. Chips were outstanding and the fish flavoursome with a very delicate batter. The fish stew was outrageously good and I probably bored my partner rigid with saying so after every mouthful. Would happily drive the 4 hours to experience Rachel’s again.

Snack Shack

Stopped off here for cheap & cheerful fish & chips in October, had 4 staff but only one was serving so took a long time to get service. Fish & chips had salad stuff & sweet corn with it, was ok for the money, was my second time in 2 years I had fish & chips there & may do again some day, a load of starlings flew on to the table and started eating stuff from the plate. Took a video of them. One of them took a third of the fish so had to eat the fish & chips quick while it was still there, there's hundreds of starlings at West bay and its always good to see them as there's not much else to see there apart a load of motor bikes that have ruined west bay

Moore Than Tea

Stopped here on the off chance. We enjoyed a lovely homemade tomato soup with a cheese toastie and sausage baguette. Drinks were lovely too. Fantastic service, food and space. Faultless in fact. If this was a bigger space, they'd pack them in!

The Pursuit of Hoppiness

Fabulous place, lots of atmosphere and very friendly staff and locals. Plenty of beer to choose from and a good variety of wine. We didn't eat. A great evening. Thank

Charmouth Bakery Ltd

We were staying on Newlands Holiday site and the bakery was a15 minutes stroll from site. We walked down for bread cake and local eggs (recycle boxes if possible or take your own)for breakfast back on site The staff were friendly and helpful. Great bread and cakes and especially good to support local businesses.

S&E fish and chips ltd

A quality establishment, Very well priced for a "sea side" fish and chip shop. Large fish and chips and Chicken bites were lovley. Ran by friendly owners who truely care about the industry.

Bridport & West Dorset Club

Absolutely fantastic and very welcoming venue. The owner here very kindly let me and my party (who were on holiday camping in Dorset from bristol) use his establishment to watch the euro finals. Even though we lost the football, the hospitality was amazing! BBQ food, awesomely priced drinks and very friendly club members. Whenever I am back in Dorset I will be making sure to revist!

Hope & Anchor

This pub is not only one of the last true remaining pubs in Dorset, but the whole of England. It is a proper drinkers pub with bags of character. Sue and Flash: the landlord and landlady are friendly, down to earth and run a traditional pub in a traditional way. Swedes of regular customers who look at it as a second home; a happy place where all are welcome and all are merry. Don’t come to this pub expecting the boring over-priced same old polished, characterless palmers pubs with terrible beer and little feeling of what a traditional pub should be. Come to The Hope And Anchor, a trip down memory lane where people who find what pubs used to and should be but very rarely are. I urge any tourist from the UK or overseas who want to find a real pub to visit here. Long live and love (which spellcheck appropriately swapped live to) The Hope And Anchor!

Red Brick Cafe

We booked for the night they serve dinner...Friday. It was very quiet but staff welcoming and nice decor/atmosphere. I had Persian veg tagine option and my husband lamb option. Both very tasty and plenty. Seemed quite expensive at £20 each (maybe bit cheaper for veggie) but it was very good.

K Yuen

Ive had two meals here now! both were absolutely awesome. duck is nice and tender, same for the chicken, sauces come in larger pots, really genuinely happy with my new favourite chinese place.

Ships Galley

I come down to this kiosk a few times a year I always buy my food from these guys as it's the best 1 on the harbour always large size dinner's served by friendly staff that will go out of there way for you even if it's not on the menu they will cook it for you. The fish is AMAZING the chips are the best 1s Ive had. And to be fair you never have to wait long for food when there busy.BUT TO BE FAIR ALL THE FOOD AND DRINKS ARE REASONABLY PRICED............P.S SEE YOU GUYS NEXT YEAR...

Longs Fish & Chips

Gluten Free Fish & Chips! They are gorgeous. Lovely thin crispy batter, good thick fish. The chips are really lovely & cooked well.
