Little disappointing. Had to send food back because cold. It was homemade lasagne but because it was made before and heated up which is perfectly fine. It was very stoggy no sauce. But husband meal was lovely so maybe just picked wrong choice

Friendly pub, great for groups and families. Dogs welcome. Good pub grub

Terrible I’m afraid. Food wasn’t what was advertised, cutlery and glasses were dirty (water marks mainly) and the place is just odd. Wouldn’t recommend

We went here for my birthday.Very friendly and dog friendly too.The food was delicious.Parking is difficult, very small parking. We had to drive back to our lodge and walk back to the pub. Them country lanes are dark and recommend carrying a torch with you to see.I would recommend booking in advance, as they do get busy.

Wanted to go into Eype as never been always seen sign. Lane very tight if don't like these sort lanes like me. Saw this Inn and thought stop for drink. Carpark tight and small. Couple of tables out front. Inside plenty of seating. Bar small. I ordered bottle cider and my partner ordered pint of Real Ale 200 went sat outside back which has few more places to sit bit chilly this time of year. I noticed my partners pint not clearing and just not looking nice, he took back to barman who said thought was end of barrel so gave my partner pint of another Real Ale which looked okay but at bottom of glass looked like someone had back-washed crisps. Due to inconsistent pints not being nice we didn't bother staying as my partner didn't want to drink that one either..Will say looked nice place and nice, quiet with nice views. Personal opinion on this one..

How lovely to visit for lunch today. I was in Eype remembering my Mum whose birthday would have been today and she was born there. I wanted scampi (as that's what Mum would have chosen) but it wasn't on the menu but on hearing me mention it the Landlady happily offered to cook it. Such a wonderful gesture that made a huge difference. Thank you - I shall see you again soon

Simply Amazing Absolutely GREAT family run pub, dog friendly too. Food is home made and outstanding, all of our meals were brilliant, i had Salmon and it was the best piece of Salmon I ever had, Faggots amazing, Chicken Burger was ‘lush’ and Battered Haddock succulent. Sister in law was raving about how great the cheesy garlic bread was, We’ve found our new ‘Favourite Place’ to visit when at our caravans .. Well done to all the staff, we WILL be back.

What a great find - we were a group of nine staying at the caravan park nearby so had no expectations. The landlord was humorously welcoming to our group. I was surprised at great selection of local high end liquor available including my favourite rum….,,. But it was the food that was outstanding. I had a sea bass fillet which I haven’t had better, the same said for my husbands haddock! Quirky, local and fabulous. Thanks Gordon!

Absolutely fantastic fresh food at reasonable prices, although you need to update your website as the prices are out of date. Lovely views from outside sadly spoiled by smokers using that area and dogs, even dog poo on the decking. Some of the interior needs some attention with cleaning too, cobwebs full of spiders and dead flies above the table in one corner. But we went back twice because the food was so good and staff friendly too.

Shocked by previous good reviews, sticky tables and hairs in food. I refused to eat chicken which was neither hot or cold and overall an unappetising looking meal.

Stopped at the New Inn for some lunch on a drive between Portsmouth and Polperro. What a wonderful village just off the main road. Had a ploughmans lunch and a cider, both were perfect. Husband and wife team do an amazing job. Thanks again
