Had the best full vegan breakfast here!

This is a favourite place for us, and a regular to celebrate important occasions. The food and service never disappoints. Great choice and superbly well cooked and presented. The staff are so friendly and accommodating, nothing is too much trouble. Coupled with fabulous views, a great place to people watch! Would highly recommend.

Here for an anniversary meal on a grey summer's evening. Wonderful service, food and atmosphere. There were people here similarly 'dressed up' as well as families. The food was amazing - very well presented and prepared. Absolutely delicious. Excellent service. Originally we were sat on a table near the door so a bit draughty and in the way of things - asked to be moved which was accommodated without any flap or fuss. Nothing was hurried but really attentive at the same time. Highly recommended.

The prices at this place are mostly shocking. £35 for a pasta is frankly mad. However, we were here for fish and chips, and it was hands down the best battered fish I have ever had. The fish was so fresh, and the batter light and crispy. Absolutely lovely and well worth the £19, it’s got to be the best value item on the menu. Staff were fantastic. Nothing to quibble about with service. They were particularly welcoming of our dog and we were seated outside with a beautiful view of the sea. Thank you!

We visited Saturday lunchtime. Nice friendly service. We both ordered the fishfinger bap. Which was nice. We couldn’t afford anything else really on the menu. It was so expensive, totally overpriced. We ordered a bottle of sparkling water with our meal, was shocked when the bill came as we were charged nearly £4.50 for it . Too expensive for us to visit for a dinner. Shame really.

Fish by the seaside. How hard can it be, right? The answer is quite hard it seems. To begin this review I wanted to say that I would actually give 5 stars just for service alone. Friendly, attentive and welcoming staff made us hopeful for a great lunch. Warm delicious bread with starters of calamari and crab bruschetta were enjoyed, even if the calamari was over fried and the bruschetta wasn’t served on ciabatta, it was served on another deep fried slice of bread which was very oily. For mains we chose the seafood platter for two. Every item (except the lobster and oysters) was again deep fried. Deep fried crab (which was very unpleasant), deep fried prawns (tasteless) deep fried chips. You get the idea. The scallops were nicely cooked but served with an oily sauce which spoiled the dish. Looking at the menu I saw that 95% of it was fried which makes me wonder if it is all frozen food instead of fresh. Where are the moules, the langoustines, the fresh crabs? It seems like the perfect place to have these things so why aren’t they offered? The bill wasn’t cheap so it certainly wasn’t value for money and after not being able to eat quite a large amount of it the waitress did offer to remove the service charge, which ironically I would have paid for as the service was not the problem at this restaurant.

We came here for a family meal a few weeks back & were not impressed. We ordered a 'seachuterie' which was various seafood on a plate, none of which were explained as to exactly what they were. This isn't acceptable given the price of the dish. There were also a couple of butters on the plate with various bits in, which were also left down to us to hazard a guess. The waitresses looked uninterested & we had 3 different ones serving our table. Shellfish & sea food is a delicacy which requires a level of knowledge, this certainly didn't come across within the service. The bread came to the table warm, which at first we thought was great, however after it cooled down it became really hard, and very difficult to eat, therefore we assume it had been heated in the microwave. Finally we got the bill, which was way overpriced considering the portion sizes and complete lack of service. There are much better Seafood restaurants in Dorset like Rick Stein & Guildhall tavern, both on the pricey side but the food and service is head and shoulders better than the Noisy Lobster.

Went the morning of 30th with my wife and her friend. The food is acceptable but really over priced. 4.40 for a small glass of orange juice is just not on, and neither is 10% automatically added for non existant service. We had a fairly standard breakfast (really nothing bad, but certainly not noteworthy) and it ended up at 70 pounds for 3 people. Not an aggressive review by any means, just a warning to customers that there is better elsewhere in Christchurch at more reasonable prices.

The Noisy Lobster has taken over all the facilities on Avon Beach ~ they charge extortionate prices for basic food (sausages in a bap) and drinks, plus parking is charged for by local council. An expensive outing for visitors ~ use the cafe near Friars Beach - same quality but not a rip off. Toilets smell and are disgusting! Part of the ‘GB rips of tourists and visitors culture’!

Great location and good layout. We had two wheelchair users and there was plenty of space. Great service and food was exceptional. Gift shop worth a visit.

Loved this place, what a find. An actual British seaside restaurant selling actual British seafood - and shellfish! Took the kids and sat on the terrace upstairs. Had a dozen Jersey Rock oysters, lobster cocktail, prawn tempura, whole chilled lobster, and grilled sole. Food was perfect (and I’d compare it to Scott’s or Bentley’s - the seafood was that good). View was lovely. Weather played nicely, as did my kids. We’ll be rebooking for Aug when we’re back down for a week at Chewton Glen which Is nearby. Loved it.

Lovely setting, fab service and delicious food. Dealt with dairy free diet without fuss and drama (a rarity these days) Cost is to the higher end but worth it for a special occasion.

We were served by the wonderful Nora and we were treated into a scrumptious, high quality, delectable meal. Everything is made fresh and is incredibly tasty. The atmosphere in the restaurant is delightful and all seating offers breathtaking views of the beach, the sea and the Isle of Wight. Nora was very nice, professional and made us feel welcome. As always the fish & chips was very good as was the truffle Parmesan chips (highly recommend) and the breads with dips! All in all an amazing meal. I highly encourage you to visit this restaurant because you will not be disappointed: professional service, stunning views, scrumptious food, what’s not to like? I for one will be back for sure, thanks Nora!
