I absolutely LOVE this place. Completely unplanned, just ebbed towards the local area as it seemed to have a few nice places close by, and saw this place sitting on the corner.Immediately made to feel welcome by the owner and the nice surroundings, and found a nice table in the corner. Ordered some of the more unique beers with my partner opting for white wine, accompanied with some stuffed olives. All were absolutely delicious. The owner was incredibly attentive, and was a pleasure to talk to as he's a very capable sommelier.Overall, great personal experience and so glad to have unearthed this gem in the local area. The place regularly has events such as wine tastings and live music, so we will be very much looking forward to coming back soon. I am sensing that the local businesses in this area are struggling for footfall with all the goings on in the world, but I have no doubt we will be regulars here!

Popped in to No1 by chance as there was 5 of us, they were very accommodating and put two table together. The food and service was fabulous as we are moving to the area will definitely be going more often great place with a good feel.

We met with friends for a coffee and cake catch up.The owner seemed nice and friendly as did the staff.We sampled some liquor shots nice touch!.They make cocktails here to buy by the bottle to take away home for that special party or as a gift.I brought x2 coffee martinis one for home and one as a gift ? Went searching on our travels for a ploughman's lunch and were delighted to see this on the menu. The best ploughman's ever,we shared the 1 person for 2 and more than enough for 3. Excellent lunch and service highly recommended.

The service would make us come back here when back in Christchurch, and the drinks were great too! Decent prices and nice ambience. Food served late…And they offer a delivery service now for the local area!

The service was top notch. The female bartender on the night went above & beyond to make our table of 8 feel welcome,accommodated & included as mostly all the cocktails had sugar in them so I opted out as I have diabetes type 2 and take insulin & tablets but me not going to have a drink when the round of drinks was order she off her own back came back to me after my table had been served & offered to leave out the high end sugars & make me more of a natural fruit sugars slow burning cocktail so it wouldn't spike my sugar levels too much as it would if I had a normal cocktail on the menu, So I felt very included. Thank you! The Bakewell Tart cocktail I feel needs a more almond balance to the cherry then you would have a banging drink there if I may say so! I just had a sip of that one from my friend order haha. Hope to be back in the area soon.

Cool, relaxed environment with lovely and funny staff, I like the fact you can request songs to be played too, the cocktails are amazing too and worth the price and the manager is lovely and has great humour, definitely recommend and cant wait to go back there
This is mine and my wife favourite place in Christchurch, Steve & Ryan always make you welcome, great choice of cocktails,wines,draft beer and spirits. Theme nights are a regular occurrence have seen a Elvis tribute and a comedy night. I can throughly recommend the cheese board great value too. Keep up the good work guys.R Adam & Sharron

First time visit today. No booking, just walked in at lunch and were fortunate to get table. Very friendly and prompt service. Limited menu but sufficient for lunch. We ordered duck & orange parfait plus speciality chicken pie. SUPERB! Both were served in reasonable promptness, the pie was super hot ( as I love HOT food - perfect!). Possibly the most tasty gravy, mash & pie combination I have tasted in many years - I scraped the plate, must admit. The parfait was super smooth, served with warm crust bread - delicious. Excellent first visit. Will definitely revisit.
