We stayed at the Premier Inn next door so made use of the meal deal. We were there on Xmas eve. The staff, especially Jade, were pleasant, professional and really friendly. The food was lovely, along with the wine. We didn't feel rushed and had a really fun but relaxed evening. Breakfast next day was plentiful and enjoyed by all our family. Would definitely visit again. Many thanks

Visited for a boxing day lunch, we were very pleased to find we could order from the regular menu, as well as the festive menus (for those of us who overdid it on Christmas day!) On arrival, we were greeted and seated promptly, our server Jae was very welcoming and attentive, nothing seemed too much trouble, from a confusing order across numerous courses and menus, to additions and accommodating those with allergies. The food was delivered hot and fresh, everyone was very pleased with their meal, we were also pleased to find we could take some away in a doggy bag. Thank you everyone at The Somerford, and especially Jae, who was fantastic on her first Boxing Day shift.

Had a wonderful meal here with my family today-we all had a different dish, the quality and portion size was very good as was the value for money; the restaurant was decorated beautifully for Christmas, with a really nice atmosphere too; the service was brilliant; our waitress (Lily) was friendly, polite and very attentive, she made sure all our needs were met, especially those of a member of our party who has dementia; We shall definitely be visiting again soon. Thank you Lily!

Served by lily-mae, great service… really friendly and nothing too much trouble. 2 great steaks for under £40 and cooked to perfection. I was blown away.

Havent visited a Beefeater for many years, and it was a regular destination for us in London back in the day. Beefeaters and Bernis were the restaurants of choice back for us in the 80s and 90s... The restaurant was clean, welcoming and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Was a little perturbed to see the current menu has changed a little, incorporating Burgers, Chicken and Lasagne, however the old traditional offerings are still there and I personally dont think you can visit a Beefeater without ordering a Steak. Pleased to say, the meal we had was VERY enjoyable and made us wonder why we hadnt visited for so long. We chose two Fillet steaks. They were tender and cooked to perfection, served with fries, and paired with a couple of glasses of Shiraz, we savoured every mouthful. Although quite full from the main course, we chose desserts of Profiteroles for me, and and an After Eight Sundae for my wife. Both were very enjoyable. Overall, a very enjoyable evening, and we will return again in the future...

At arrival you need to register you car registration. Seated fairly quickly and given menus, and quickly chose our meals. The restaurant didn't seem that busy but we seemed to wait for ages for someone to come to even take a drink order, eventually one of us went in search a member of staff to take our orders. A few minutes later a staff member attended to our table and apologised for the wait. We ordered one starter to come with our main meals. We didn't have to wait too long when our mains arrived, and then the starter and drinks followed. The food of a cheese fondue starter, turkey meal and a mixed grill was tasty and piping hot, albeit I got the wrong chips and when pointed out they brought in addition the ones that I did order and they came out quickly. Upon completion of our meal we asked for our bill and our plates were collected the same time, and the bill duly arrived. What we did notice was that another table had not been cleared after the occupants left and was left for a while. A member of staff came to our table and noticed a card for payment and duly returned with a card machine. The initial wait to order was a bit long, made more so because of the fact that we were really hungry, but the food was good. We passed by staff as we left but no-one said anything.

First impressions of Beefeater were good, it seemed cozy and inviting. However, that soon disappeared as it took almost ten minutes for us to be seated at a table that we had booked in advance. Said table was right by the kitchen so it was loud and throughout our meal we were interrupted a number of times by sudden crashing sounds coming from that direction. Before we had even had a chance to sit down at our slightly wobbly table, which we had to fix ourselves with a napkin, we were being asked our drink orders. After having waited so long for our table, we felt seating us had been a bit of a rush. Since they had taken our drink order before we had even managed to take our coats off, we assumed that we would be treated to somewhat fast service but that was not the case seeing as it seemed to take a while for us to actually receive our drinks. Overall, our main courses were filling and looked good. Except for the fact that the chicken and BBQ Rib combo was presented with paper between it and the plate, this caused some problems as it was difficult not to accidentally eat the paper. Dessert was nice, but the brownies were not as warm as expected. We ended our evening being served by a lovely lady called Jay but even though her friendly service was the highlight of our evening we probably won't be coming back.

Service was exceptional. Unfortunately we didn't take the servers name but she had very long hair ( possibly hair extensions) and she deserves a merit for making us feel welcome and engaged. I had the king prawn skewers which was a lot more filling and tasty than it originally looked. Every one else enjoyed their meals and I'm told the sick toe pudding was particularly good. Recommended
