Had my son’s 18th birthday in the garden room today. Georgia was absolutely brilliant, calm and attentive throughout. The food was amazing and the team were all brilliant from booking through to leaving. Can thoroughly recommend!

Yesterday at the Thomas Tripp we had a very early Xmas lunch about 17 of us,we pre booked and pre paid so that it all went smoothly. The tables were set up looking very festive with some nice little touches as well. Food was superb the Haggis Scotch egg was excellent as were the mains.The staff worked really hard and the service top draw.Big thank you to Polly and the team and special thanks to the devilishly handsome Father Christmas ?

Hosted an event here.. Wow, we had the garden bar to ourselves and two staff members. The staff were lovely, changed the music, took pictures, managed all our requests quickly and they were super friendly as well always smiling! They had made the garden bar look super pretty, put crackers out. And lovely Christmas decorations. The food was tasty, and so much more than we though! Enough for everyone to go up twice! Honestly could fault it, what was really great is there's toilets in the gardrn bar, so you don't have to walk into the main pub. They made sure that no one came in and tried to join us, they could not do enough to make us feel special! Highly Recommend! We will 100% come back!

Popped in with husband and three kids.. and decided to get some food.. and my god! We were not disappointed! The food was amazing! I'd recommend the wings!! For the price we paid, the quality was outstanding! And we would definitely be back!! Even for the kids, they really enjoyed their food. Everything was cooked perfectly and the staff were lovely! Smiley, chatty, and accomodating. Not sure what other people are talking about in their reviews, this place has a great vibe.

Popped in for lunch on a bitterly cold day. The main room was warned by a lovely wood burner. We chose the special 2 course lunch and thoroughly enjoyed it- so nice to have something made in house and not what the brewery might dictate.

I was in two minds to book for food here for 14 of us, but from making the booking and pre ordering the food with the very helpful Georgia and Billy (they even did a couple of boards of cheese and biscuits for us). To having the meal on the Saturday night it was all very good. The Tripp is a traditional pub with a great atmosphere and live music, and a fab outdoor space for smokers. On arrival we were looked after by Marie, who was exceptional, really attentive and going the extra mile for us, and Billy (the manager on that night), also great. Even though is was a packed pub the food was brought out quickly and cleared quickly, and it was really tasty, a great choice on the menu and we had most of it! Marie made sure we were ready for our next course to be brought out so we didn't feel rushed or waiting, perfect service. Recommended; the Tripp Fish and Chips, the Mutton Curry (a bit more sauce maybe), Chicken Burger, Halloumi fries, Breads and dips, Gurberburger (but only if you love peanut butter!) the Soup, crab and marmite crumpets. The chips were the best I've had in a long time. The band that were on were very entertaining, there are bouncers around keeping a discreet eye on everyone and making it feel relaxed and safe. All in all a good night out!
