What a gem. I’m so happy I was craving sushi while visiting Dorchester. It was absolutely delicious; haven't had a Japanese meal like that since my trip to Japan! Local and fresh. Their menu was specially curated. Myra is a master and Paul, her husband, was very kind and hospitable. They both made my dinner and first night in Dorchester memorable.

We had a wonderful meal for my husbands birthday. We were greeted at the door, the table was decorated for his birthday and both the drinks and food menus were explained to us by Peter. Nothing was too much trouble. The sharing 1/2 and 1/2 platter to start was excellent, followed by black cid and a large bowl of “King of Ramen”. We both said we had no room for dessert but when we saw them we had one each, together with a japanese liqueur each. A truly enjoyable evening, highly recommended

We choose to celebrate my 60th birthday at Myra's Kaiseki restaurant because of previous reviews - we were not disappointed. We emailed to book a table and got a quick response, including a query whether the table was booked as a celebration, I replied my 60th birthday. We arrived to find that there was a balloon and scatters with 60 - which was a lovely touch. The service was attentive without being intrusive. The cocktails were interesting, with a Japanese twist, and those we had were very good (including a cocktail). The starters were the star of the show, we choose a Izakaya and shush mixed platter and duck gyoza - they were all gorgeous. The mains were good and generous proportions. Paul persuaded us to have deserts with plum saki - a real delight. It was not a cheap evening but well worth saving up for. We shall try the tasting menu next time.

Service was beyond reproach; the vegetable and prawn tempura, the salmon and crab were all good but the tuna in the sushi and sashimi was

Fantastic food, great flavours, good portions but light and satisfying. Good service, unassuming venue with a wide selection of drinks. Would thoroughly recommend.

Fantastic food. Amazing service. A highlight of Dorchester. This is an excellent family run restaurant, whose staff make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive, and have a real passion for their food.

Very unassuming in appearance, this is a lovely little restaurant serving lovely, tasty Japanese food. We had the half and half starter - mix of tempura, sushi and sushimi, which was amazing. Followed by ramen which also did not disappoint. The service was great - friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Well worth a visit.

Food was sensational and service was perfect. From the second we walked in the service was tailored to us. Family run business couldn’t get any better. Only went into the restaurant as we were passing in the area- best food we’ve had in a long time! Hidden gem.Vegetarian options: Very good

Having eaten at Myra’s quite a few times, I remembered that quite a few years ago they supplied food for a party. Had another party at the weekend and Myra’s kindly supplied all of the hot and cold canapé food. All the guests were wowed-the food was faultless……from sushi to tempura to gyoza to spring rolls. Thank you as ever Myra and Paul!

Excellent meal at Myra's to celebrate my birthday. First visit & we will be back. Half & half platter to start, which was a great way of trying & tasting a selection. Generous portions so did not quite finish my ramen noodles main course. Unfortunately no room for dessert!
