This place has really turned it around the service is brilliant and all the staff are super friendly. We had steaks that were cooked perfectly. I have also seen that they are now doing a lot of events, decently bringing the kids to one of them. Nathan the manager was our server and spent a lot of time talking to us which was very nice and he was super helpful.

Great place to go. Friendly staff, great atmosphere and fantastic food.Added bonus of two Osprey Rapid Chargers (usually one free, but never had to wait too long(touchwood)), have a bite to eat and your car is fully charged or just grab a top up with a cup of coffee ?, their AF range is good too.Parking: Two EV rapid chargers in left hand corner as you enter.

Great service great staff food was good . They even cut sausages and chicken up for the dog.The only moan would be when eating outside there so no zone exempt from smoking.
Went to the trumpet for food this evening at 6pm hoping to get a carvery, carvery was all packed up and not on service, I thought....OK that's fine, maybe they had sold out, so myself, my husband and 3 children ordered our drinks and sat to look at the food menu. We ordered our food at the bar which cost £90! The waiting time wasn't to bad, but when the food was brought to us....I was shocked ?.....the waiter had stacked our food literally on top of each other and was carrying all 7 plates!!! 5 mains and 2 sides! So we helped the poor lad before all food ended up on the floor! We then looked at our food and it was all drowned in fat (literal puddles of fat on the plates!) Myself ordered a sirloin steak and asked for it to be rare.....it came cremated! And so fatty it was impossible to eat! Aswell as my chips drowned in fat, the onion rings were so burnt you couldn't even bite into them! My youngest had a kids meal, which was dippers,chips and beans......he point blank refused to eat it and said it was because it looked horrible and he didn't even want to try the food! Not once did anyone come round to ask if our food was OK. So we upped and left! This is a shame, as when we last ate there in January we were a table of 13, and all look was great and perfectly presented! This has really put me off ever going back there.....the thought of that food just turns my stomach.

Update for Feb 2024: removed 2 starsUnder new management AGAIN. Five of us including a toddler arrived for dinner. When entering a drunk swore and made fun of us going in and swore again on the way out. Once inside we were refused a table as we hadn't booked. Looking around there was about 7 tables occupied, when queried at 5.20pm apparently everyone was due to arrive at that very moment. When leaving no one was entering and the car park was nearly empty. Not keen to return.

We had a group of 18 of us go for dinner and every single person said it was amazing food, great service and a lovely atmosphere. The food and drinks were all at an amazing price for the quality of food you receive. Will definitely be returning!!
