Just seen a negative review of the Scott arms with my name on it. I didn't write it. Always enjoyed my visits here and would recommend. On a good day view is fantastic.

A lovely old pub in Kingston, Wareham close to Corfe. Perfect for lunch after a walk along the coastline. Various rooms within the pub for sitting down for a drink or for food. We had Sunday lunch, which was very nice. It is very busy so it's best to book beforehand. Open fires in some rooms so it does get a little smokey. We'll worth a visit.

Pleasant service, the dishes certainly well proportioned could have been tastier.

The Sunday roast was delicious. It was a massive amount, and the Yorkshire pudding was huge, but light as a feather. The view from the pub garden is spectacular, with Corfe Castle and Poole harbour in the distance.

After coming here for many years i will say the place is on life support and maybe it's time to pull the plug. You would think the staff would be a bit more attentive seeing as they are putting service charge on but they are completely uninterested and even antagonistic. I think they lack the very basics of customer service and would advise the owner to either train or to replace. The lady on the bar was more interested in smoking then serving diden't even wash her hands after. As someone whos been coming here often for 10 years i would say its the worse ive ever seen this place the buildings run down and in need of some serious renovation and investment garden furniture falling apart, drab run down interior. The food is extremely overpriced for what you get. All in all its a shame as this place could really be a good destination due to the location but its had a the life sucked out of it and the empty vessel that remains is nothing but a tourist trap.

We had Sunday lunch at The Scott Arms and was impressed how much improved it was compared to last time we visited. I had roast beef which was cooked and flavoured beautifully. All the vegetables were cooked well with exceptional flavour, a lot of restaurants seem to overlook the cooking of their vegetables but not here. Full marks to the chef and kitchen team for a high quality meal. This is the best Sunday roast I've ever had in the area, and I've had a few! Service was friendly and efficient. Will definitely be back to eat here again.
