Absolutely fabulous fish and chips staff very helpful and pleasant might not be the cheapest but definitely the best. Even split a shared portion into two boxes!

The chips tasted like frozen ones, not traditional chippy chips, the fish was large and hung outside the box slightly but bit of a greasy batter. I do like it crispy like this, so texture wise it was fine, but the aftertaste of the oil was peculiar. I think it’s expensive for £11.20, not even sure what type of fish it was, didn’t taste like Cod in my opinion. After removing the batter the flesh did seem a tad dry as it broke up into small pieces, so was difficult for us to eat with the chip fork. Long wait, over 20 minutes and it’s wintertime, so heaven knows what it’s like in summer. Nice and hot on a cold day, limited choice of eating venues along the main stretch, mainly expensive pubs and cafes and ice creams so took what we could find and herbies looked quite popular.

Bought a portion of fish and chips. £11:50- Fish: 9/10, crispy batter and fluffy white fish.- 0, not your traditional fish and chips-chips. Large Frozen oven style chips fried in deep fryer. Very disappointing.Wait time: 35 mins for 1x portion of fish and chips. Although we acknowledge that it was a busy Sunday lunch time with good weather but this wait time was appalling.Verdict: Willing to give another shot.

Wow. We had a 1/2lb bacon cheeseburger and whitebait and chips. Huge portions, piping hot food and quick service considering how busy they were.

Due to my brother's recommendation (we both live in kent) he said as you on holiday in lyme regis you must try herbies fish and chips along the front. So today we did, and wow how right was he, massive portion of cod and chips and almost certainly the best fish and chips we have had in years ,it's all cooked to order and well worth the wait.

Overjoyed to find this spot in Lyme. Delicious chunky fish and some more interesting options to go alongside the classics. Family favourite when visiting Lyme. Herbies sat on the beach.. bliss!
