We visited Millside after a recommendation from Debbie at The Gables. The recommendation was well-deserved! The restaurant itself is beautiful and welcoming, bonus because it’s decorated for Christmas!! We had a reservation and Gemma welcomed us immediately and seated us at a lovely window table. The seafood was as fresh as can be and locally sourced. Everything is made in house and presented beautifully! From beginning to end, the entire experience was lovely!

First off thanks to the kitchen, the food is exceptional! Sadly the service not so much, we are confused as to why we seemed to be treated differently to other diners, not offered another drink even though our glasses we're clearly nearly empty, we felt that somehow our money wasn't good enough or maybe not being local made us somehow second class but the pretentious demeanour of particularly one one of the front of house staff made us quite uncomfortable. A real shame as the food was truly delicious.

I celebrated my birthday last night with a friend who booked The Millside as a surprise. It was a superb evening. The food was sublime and the customer service was first class. It was lovely to meet Georgina the owner/head chef. If you ever visit Lyme Regis be sure to make a reservation, you won’t be disappointed!

Had such an incredibly lovely meal here. Arrived early in horrible weather, and the staff couldn’t have been nicer. Food and wine absolutely delicious. We had anchovies, then escargot and Salmon as starters, followed by lobster and crab for mains. The crab doesn’t come dressed, and the manager was amazing at talking my wife through what she needed to do. All accompanied by a delicious bottle of local wine. Could both recommend this restaurant more. If you are in Lyme Regis, eat here. We will absolutely be back.
