Cute little restaurant in a great seaside setting. Fabulous service. I debated on giving 4 stars because of our starters. We had scallops, which unfortunately were the smallest scallops I’d ever been served. They were nice but too much sauce for the amount on the plate. There was a tiny piece of cauliflower on the plate too. I feel a couple more pieces of cauliflower on the plate may have compensated? The main courses & puddings were fabulous, as was the wine.

Lovely spot with beautiful sea views. We popped in for a cuppa and 2 crab sandwiches. Bill came to £39.40 which we felt was very overpriced.

A week before Christmas and what could be better than a spontaneous Christmas lunch with my wife. Warmly welcomed and great service throughout we knew we were in for a treat as soon as i reviewed the menu. The Fish stew was excellent, two massive king prawns in the bowl. The menu indicated 'with all the trimmings' and it was a very accurate description - excellent main course with sides of crispy roasties and my favourite, red cabbage. No room for dessert but between us we polished off a tarte tatin. Looking forward to returning in the New year.

What a great restaurant went for first time and so impressed. I am Coeliac so really felt Gluten free taken seriously. Additional dishes offered to me including the most delicious Fish Stew and Sea Bream. Gluten free bread and cheese crackers where amazing. A real asset to Lyme Regis !

Delicious fish soup and crab sandwich, followed by perfectly spiced mulled cider, surveying waves breaking over the Cob and the sun lighting up the cliffs further down the coast … a perfect Sunday outing!

Really enjoyed a lovely dinner at Tom’s - delighted to find it open on a Monday evening. Beautiful location and restaurant with an open pass so you can see Tom in action. Staff were charming and efficient and food beautifully presented and delicious. We tried a cheese soufflé with a salad dressed with apple, fig, honey and pickled walnut; scallops; sole meunière; and sea bream with bubble and squeak and tenderstem; followed by apple tarte tatin and ice cream. Thoroughly recommend

Arrived in Lyme Regis at 12.00 and instead of stopping for a coffee we decided to get lunch instead as we walked past Tom’s with black rain clouds on the horizon. As we had our dog with us we were only able to sit outside but in between the showers and enjoying the view we had a great lunch. Drinks including mulled wine were hot and flavoursome and provided a nice accompaniment to our choice of food- fish soup and crab sandwich followed by tarte au citron and tarte tatine all served with friendly and timely service. Definitely worth a visit and it’s tripadvisor rating.

We had a brilliant night. The food is superb and sevice fabulous. Lots of local produce served. A brilliant range of drinks - cocktails, beers and wines etc.
We as a family have been visiting Lyme Regis for over 20yrs , And as this visit was a special occasion thought we’d try somewhere different . And so glad we did . I can honestly say it’s the best food we have ever eaten in Lyme regis . And just gutted we didn’t go before . The food was outstanding and seasoned to perfection . Wine menu had a great selection and again beautiful. My only constructive criticism would be it would of been nice to of been asked if I’d like to try the wine before it was poured . Upon booking the table online was asked if there was an occasion, we we’re celebrating my fathers retirement. And after finishing the meal to our surprise a beautiful hand written plate in chocolate writing saying happy retirement with some beautiful chocolates Was brought to the table , A wonderful special touch ! We can only thank you Tom for you and your teams efforts in making our evening very special. And we will be definitely returning on future visits to Lyme .

Spent evening celebrating husband's birthday. Waitress suggested we had our bottle of wine by the beachside. Varied menu, food very tasty and arrived promptly. Meal was beautifully presented. Staff all courteous, we didn't feel rushed. Fish dishes we had were outstanding.

We ate inside on a Saturday night. Excellent service & welcoming front of house staff. The pass is inside the restaurant area which was a nice design as you could see the chef placing food out, and gave you a nice nosey to look at the other dishes which was being made. Food was excellent, no faults with portion size spot on. Scallops had dived in the local bay too. Amazing.

We booked after reading the reviews, and were not disappointed. We booked for an early meal, which turned out to be an early bird deal. The small restaurant has a lovely ambience, fresh and clean. The young staff were very welcoming and attentive, without being obtrusive. The food was beautifully presented and we had generous portions. As it filled up with customers, the dining room had a very friendly, cheerful atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit, and thought it was good value.

My wife, our friend and I had just finished a 3 day hike through Dorset that ended in Lyme Regis. It also happened to be our 39th wedding anniversary and we could not have chosen a better place to celebrate. It was a bit windy and drizzling as we walked to the restaurant along the waterfront, but inside was just perfectly cosy. We were seated by Tom himself, that's a nice way to start! Our server was Tom's mother and she made us feel like family too. The entire wait staff were exceptional. Now about the food - excellent! We all took advantage of the seafood forward menu and the highlight for me was the scallop appetizer. It was amazing! I would highly recommend a dinner here for any occasion, but it was perfect for our special one!
