Always a very good meal. Good service, have marked the atmosphere at 4 for no real reason other than it's not a truely special atmosphere, it's clean, tidy with nothing wrong other than a level of blandness that means you could have been anywhere reading it.I would definitely recommend it, the food is always fantastic.

Avoid if you have any allergies, are vegetarian or vegan as you can't trust the food provided.Requested vegan options by phone before arriving and told this wouldn't be a problem. Was also told not a problem when I arrived, even though not on menu, which I thought was accommodating.However, I then found loads of small bits of chicken in curry (as though it was the chicken option with the large bits removed!). Wasn't offered any form of discount or money back even though i couldn't eat the curry so left never to return! Excuse by waitress was they were busy. Really?

We visited this place first time and really enjoyed it. The staff and service was good, food really tasty with a great choice of dishes. The portions of rice that are served with curry dishes are large, so you might skip a starter or share rice, unless you are really hungry and would happily have it all. Overall, portion size for starters and mains are good.Recommend to visit.

Absolutely tasty food, ranged from the Chicken Naga, Lamb Mughlai 3 different rice and Chicken Tikka Biriani, plenty of pops and pickles. Keema Naan.

Been ordering off taj for the last 6 months. The food in incredible. Well worth the money. Every take away we get is spot on .
We had a family birthday celebration here. We booked a table in advance even though it wasn't too busy [a Thursday at the end of November] and requested a table with plenty of space, as last time we visited here, we felt a bit squished in. The first table we were given didn't reflect our request and we asked whether we could be moved which happened. The waiter couldn't have been more helpful and we all ordered our personal favourites from Taj, mine being Royal Style Biryani. The portion sizes are generous and all the dishes were delicious. We had plenty to take home too. My reason for knocking one star off for 'atmosphere' is because I found the place rather cold. There seemed to be no heating on and every time the door opened, a cold gale blew in. I had to borrow my son's jacket to put on throughout the whole evening. Additionally, there was no ambient music in the background which may have helped the overall atmosphere. I love this restaurant but would suggest getting the heating on in the winter months and creating a more inviting atmosphere.

We visited for lunch on Christmas Day. The staff had created a lovely festive atmosphere, and the food was amazing. We left with lots to take away too. Definitely ticks the boxes for a memorable meal without any of the stress of cooking on Christmas Day.

We had the most amazing Christmas lunch at the Taj today. The food was amazing, very reasonably priced and we were even given an extra main course and a Indian drink on the house. The atmosphere was really relaxing and special, service exemplary and so friendly. On our departure we were even presented with a very good bottle of wine. It really made our Christmas day - we will definitely go back again soon.
