Great little retreat, food was amazing. Staff really friendly. Great atmosphere, old school feel to the place with a modern twist. A hidden gem and perfect recluse from a long day. Had a lovely meal and were made to feel at home immediately. Can't wait to return.

Nice pub in a good location and great view. Only had a coffee but it was very nice. Would have liked to have had food as the menu looks nice but they were fully booked so I guess that speaks for the quality etc.

Absolutely fantastic service and food. We went for the Sunday lunch and it was honestly outstanding - one of the best we have ever had away from homemade. The Yorky pudding was lovely and fresh. All the starters we had were also very tasty! I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting.

Wow just wow. What a wonderful pub , wonderful team and wonderful food! Georgia was just delightful and gave such phenomenal customer service. She subconsciously offered to separate the different parts of the chill meal for my 11 year old step daughter who has ASD. Georgia wouldn’t have known this but just this offer put her at ease with her food. Everything was so reasonably priced and it was a really lovely experience. We will defo be back when we visit Portland next. Thank you all!
Poor meal wont be going there for a meal again . Dont bother foods very poor .

This place is one of a kind. Cozy atmosphere, sea view, cold beer and amazing wines. Had a complete meal with Seafood starters, a bottle of french rose and then the fish main and crab spaghetti to share. I would love to come back again and again!

No local ales, just Green King / Sharps. Shame as otherwise a good pub. Food looked decent and that's probably the main focus now.

This is what an english cove should be. Fantastic! Recommended by the airbnb host I styaed with, this place is tucked away on Chisel Beach. It gets busy so booking is rec9mmended. It is certainly a bit spiy and saw dust, but thats part of the charm. I t was -3 when I visited ,bit in the warmer months there is a great outdoor seating area looking over the beach. The staff are great and the food was superb and really good value for money. The slow cooked chilli had enough kick for you to know it was a chilli (which is novel as most establishments shy away from any heat) and talking to the staff, the chef is more than happy to spice things up if you ask. First class!
