I was rather skeptical about eating here after reading some of the reviews. And I must say they are somewhat accurate. The food had no taste and the pastry of the sausage rolls was doughy. Not what you’d expect for the price. My husband had a feta scone and said the cheese was definitely past its date. The staff are all very young and seem rather inexperienced. However they were friendly enough but seemed more interested in having a chat than serving. A few concerns with diversity issues as it seems a very dominate white heterosexual female industry. Perhaps a little inclusivity in the hiring process would be appreciated. The decor is modern enough if you’re still in 2016. Don’t recommend it but try it for yourself!!!

Fantastic . Very friendly with lovely staff. Tastefully decorated. Nice snacks and drinks. Also nice seating outside. Also the cafe is dog friendly.

Decor is too plain, felt depressing. Lack of colour in there and no LGBTQ pride flags. Amazing young staff but awful management. I will not be taking my young one here again as I was told I had to leave by an older woman because of my sexual identification.

The kids who run the place were lovely, funny smell coming from upstairs though? Was put off food, won’t be returning especially not with my g*y grandson.

A smart and sharp place, lovely garden area in warmer weather and delightful inside. Nice selection of drinks inc some bottle beers. Vegan options lacking sadly. There was a soup option today, which was ok (cauli and carrot) which came with nice warm bread but no dairy free butter. Surely having a tub of something like flora in the kitchen wouldn't be a problem? Still nice place otherwiseVegetarian options: Little for vegans

We were really looking forward to eating at the Hayloft and rang ahead to check about gluten free options which we were told all diets were catered for. Booked a table for 1pm.When we arrived the outside seating area looked very inviting and especially lovely when sunny, but for the number of tables the parking is quite limited. No menus on tables so queued up and was told the only items available were the cakes and no gluten free lunch options, didn't stay for food, quite disappointed.

Staff more interested in chatting in the kitchen than serving customers ended with me asking if the sausage roll ordered and paid for over 25 minutes earlier was in the process of actually appearing. Somewhat resentful, the member of staff stalked off into the kitchen, to emerge moments later telling me it would be out in 30 seconds. 2 or 3 minutes later it actually arrived at the table, with no hint of an apology for the delay. And after all that it hadn't been worth the wait, and most of it remained on the plate when we left, as did the stodgy, somewhat flavourless piece of cake that had been my selection. Very poor all round.

As with another review a few days earlier. There was a very limited menu of just panini's, cakes and croissants. We fancied a sandwich and my partner is lactose intolerant so can't do toasties. The outside seating looks very inviting but no menus and no sandwiches, so we drove back into Easton and ate elsewhere.

We wished outside seating was on as it was not due to weather. Food, staffs all great. New menu

Dreadful service from staff who seemed more interested in chatting with friends and family. Took almost 30 minutes (in a cafe that only had three tables occupied) to remove a sausage roll from its display, warm it and deliver it to the table (without even asking if we wanted it warmed). Most of it was left on the plate as not nice to eat (particularly poor pastry), as was the piece of cake selected - dense, and tasteless.

We liked our visits to the hayloft this summer holiday staying at nearby accommodation. If you think of this place like the type of coffee/cafe you would get in a good hotel it all makes sense. Not the cheapest or widest selection of meals, rather a really good spot with nice decor, helpful staff and simple food done very well. All panini were good but ham & cheese was amazing. No fancy touches just REALLY good ingredients. The ham was more like a thick slice of Gammon. Daughter also had best choc chip ice cream of her life and wife had Victoria sponge (which must have been good because she left nine for me to finish off)
