Always a great stop anytime of the year for a cheeky pint and chips for the little one

A nice place , but could do with some TLC was in a room at the front , it’s not a busy road but can be noisy,

The falsely advertised ad, states disabled facilities yet there are none, I had to bum shuffle up 10stairs to get the the room and back down, no food on site didn't get there till evening to find the pub shut at 8.30. It was not clean and the full English breakfast we payed for was continental which was inedible, mouldy bread put out the night before, and gone off curdled milk so no cup of tea either. Complained yet still false advertising and no refund oh and be carefull of the black mould. No signal on the TV.

Stopped in today with my elderly father, the board outside said food served all day, so I parked at the car park & helped my father down the steep path when I walked in to the bar I was told no food!Really? Then why advertise on the board???

I visited with family this week and was very disappointed with the service. We waited for menus for at least 10mins. Not one waitress had a smile on their face. We ordered 2 of the steak specials. One of the steaks was ordered to be medium well and when we received said steak it was medium rare so asked for it to be cooked further to be told “so you want it cooked well done?” I said “I think this steak is more medium rare” to which I was replied to rudely with “I think our chef knows what she’s doing”. We also waited 40mins on desserts which weren’t to the best standards.Whilst there we also noticed rudeness from the waitresses to customers arriving.

The Grove Arms is a lovely pub. Heather behind the bar was friendly and breakfast cooked by Dan was excellent. We asked to change rooms after the first night as we had a room at the top (5) with sloping ceilings and two uncomfortable single beds rather than a double. The second room (4) was perfect - although you do get road noise. BUT…the beer was run down and the staff were sadly at a loss as this pub is either on the market or soon to be closed down. The chef starts a new job next week which apparently will result in continental breakfast only from next week. A real shame

I stayed here for work and it is a pretty decent place only issues I had was I was told breakfast was 0730 but the place was still locked up at that time and no staff around and 1 issue which was totally out of the hotels control is that quite a few people use the road as a race track in the early hours so my sleep was broken.

Midweek stay for 2 nights for us and our cocker spaniel…..and we were not disappointed with our lovely and relaxing time at the Grove Arms. Plenty of carparking at the back of the hotel/pub. Easy check-in, Heather showed us to our room at the back of the hotel which we had requested as the main road is quite busy. Dinner on the first night was excellent, Butchers Faggots, mash & gravy for me and Risotto for my wife. Full English breakfast on both mornings was superb. All cooked fresh to order and all ingredients were great quality. You can help yourself to cereal, toast, orange juice and fresh fruit whilst waiting for the cooked breakfast. ‘Steak Night’ dinner on the 2nd night was simply gorgeous. We had sirloin (alternative was rump) which was one of the best seasoned and tastiest steaks we've had for a long time. Homemade sticky toffee pudding with custard and lemon cheesecake were divine too. Big shout out to Dan as a great chef and a huge asset to any establishment. Room was very clean with good quality sheets and duvet. Fluffy towels in the bathroom. Nice touch to have a fan (which we needed in this hot spell), ironing board and iron in the wardrobe. Heather is a polite and efficient manager. Working hard both the bar and restaurant tables and still having time to stop and chat with guests. A great short stay and highly recommended.

I spent two days at The Grove, whilst on a business trip. I always prefer a pub with rooms because I expect a better atmosphere and friendlier service than a hotel. The Grove didn't disappoint. Clean, comfortable bedrooms, good food, nice beer and friendly staff. I enjoyed the little courtyard garden at the rear and exceptional breakfast.

We stayed at the grove arms as we were attending an early wedding in Tisbury. The hosts were extremely accommodating letting us check in early so we could get to the wedding for lunch time, they even had one of our rooms ready for us by 11am so that we could get changed and leave our things before our taxis picked us up. Rooms were really spacious, clean and airy and the bed was extremely comfy ! Breakfast was fantastic, full English for us all, just wish we could have eaten it all! All in all lovely place and great hosts! Xx

We had a lovely meal tonight. There was only one lady serving who wqs attentive & aware of what was happening on all tables. The food was delicious & really good sized portions. ? we had scampi, a panini and chocolate brownie. Would recommend.

Whilst having arranged an afternoon tea here, we arrived to find that they hadn’t got the booking. That said, they were incredibly apologetic and could do enough to work around it. Had lunch from them, which was really, really good. Well worth a visit in the end.!

We came here for the location and the price. It’s seriously friendly. They give a packed breakfast if you can’t stay in the morning which is really lovely. Food is good as is the atmosphere. Rooms are functional but for one night that’s ok. Parking is at the back and access is down some steep stairs so be warned.

Decent pub with small sheltered garden terrace. Did not try food. Interior is pleasant and quite bright without being plasticky. Service fine.
