friendly place. Good food. worth a visit. 12 years since last visit but food excellent, choice on menu good. Wine excellent and reasonably priced. Service is up to you and they were worth a contribution. £39 for 2 courses very fair but £13 more for a dessert seemed slightly overmuch although the lemon beignets were excellent. Won't wait anither 12 years to visit.Food & drinks: Excellent quality and choice

Intimate seating area with only a few tables which helps to make it feel all the more special! Service was wonderful and friendly but the food was the absolute star of the show and was unbelievably delicious!!! We had the bao buns (definitely big enough to share) and shrimp starters, followed by the Korean bbq platter and the noodles, all of which tasted incredible. Well worth a visit, just make sure you book well in advance to avoid disappointment ?

San Tonino Restaurant

One of the best restaurants I've been to in a while, food was perfect and the desert was presented beautifully. Staff were attentive and polite but not intrusiveI really enjoyed myself, would definitely return!

The Benett Arms

Lovely country guesthouse in a beautiful location. FRiendly reception, nice spacious room, good bathroom. Dinner was delicious, as was the cooked breakfast. Lovely old pub with local gins and ciders. Travelling with my daughter. We enjoyed our stay very much, Shame about the rain..... Tip: sturdy handrails in the bath. Being slightly disabled and of a ripe age, it is my fear to slip and fall in the bath.

3 Ivy Cross

A very comfortable stay indeed, I felt spoilt!!The surroundings from my beautiful bedroom to the lovely garden with full size trees & even unspoilt nature area right at the bottom with very nice views.What a breakfast, with homemade yogurt and jams, not to mention the full English all served in a dining room bathed in light, it was also nice to see your breakfast cooked infront of you. A great little bustling cafe,very sociable where people meet to chat.The menu is varied plenty to choose from and a great atmosphere .Coffees great to plenty of choices

The Grove Arms

Midweek stay for 2 nights for us and our cocker spaniel…..and we were not disappointed with our lovely and relaxing time at the Grove Arms. Plenty of carparking at the back of the hotel/pub. Easy check-in, Heather showed us to our room at the back of the hotel which we had requested as the main road is quite busy. Dinner on the first night was excellent, Butchers Faggots, mash & gravy for me and Risotto for my wife. Full English breakfast on both mornings was superb. All cooked fresh to order and all ingredients were great quality. You can help yourself to cereal, toast, orange juice and fresh fruit whilst waiting for the cooked breakfast. ‘Steak Night’ dinner on the 2nd night was simply gorgeous. We had sirloin (alternative was rump) which was one of the best seasoned and tastiest steaks we've had for a long time. Homemade sticky toffee pudding with custard and lemon cheesecake were divine too. Big shout out to Dan as a great chef and a huge asset to any establishment. Room was very clean with good quality sheets and duvet. Fluffy towels in the bathroom. Nice touch to have a fan (which we needed in this hot spell), ironing board and iron in the wardrobe. Heather is a polite and efficient manager. Working hard both the bar and restaurant tables and still having time to stop and chat with guests. A great short stay and highly recommended.

Had an excellent meal here on a Thursday evening. Very dog friendly (treat for him on arrival!), good ales on draft, excellent attentive service for our meal. Really very friendly, super value for money and considerably above par quality of food for the price. Would absolutely come back and recommend to others!

The John Peel

It is certainly a place to eat an authentic English breakfast, very good, very fast and the staff is lovely. We ordered the peel breakfast to share and we really liked it. Highly recommended.

The Shaftesbury Deli

Found this lovely deli near to the amazing Gold Hill. I have used it a few times for coffee and their incredible sausage rolls. The tiny tea room is indeed tiny, but delightful. The shop stocks some nice items and the ladies serving are very friendly and pleasant.

Reeve The Baker

Passed thru Shaftesbury today, stopped for a walk around and saw Reeve The Baker.Went in just after a snack, saw a Pork and chorizo sausage roll and a pasty.The super friendly guy at the counter asked if I needed a hand and I mentioned my conundrum.He said he recommends the sausage roll.So I got it.I also got the pasty.... ?Coming all the way from New Zealand, I never thought I'd find the greatest sausage roll I've ever had. But gosh darn, my mind was blown at how good it was.The pasty was also amazing.Would definitely return here if I pass thru town again.

Chutney's

Ordered a meal for my daughter's 17th birthday. Took 2 hours to get delivered as they had to recook it, due it being delivered to the wrong address and the person being dishonest. It was rectified and we all enjoyed the food. The manager and delivery guy was very apologetic. Would I order again? Yes I would.

Marmaris

Ordered few times mixed grill and burgers, pizzas, kebabs . Fast , food is fresh and tastes great. One time mixed grill was not quite as good ,but other times it has been spot on and very fresh and fast. Only take away we currently order as its always been spot on and can trust it to be nice food, except that one time, but all other times it's been perfect.

Domino's Pizza - Shaftesbury

We ordered from here last Friday on the way home from a late lunch. Good pizza. Not fatty. Really tasty. Clean place to order from. Ready in less than 25minutes. Never had a problem here. Would recommend.

Thai Kitchen

We enjoyed our 1st trip to this little Thai place. The restaurant is quite small & basic, but don't let this put you off. Our starters of satay chicken, duck rolls, spare ribs & prawn toast were tasty & well presented. For mains we had Pad Thai & Red Thai curry, the dishes were fragrant & had a kick to them. Didn't have to wait too long to be served either.

The first time my partner and I had the pleasure of visiting this venue; aesthetically pleasing,with friendly staff, amazing food and an all round wonderful experience!!!

Aroma

Had a couple of meals here with friends. We liked it so much the first night that we came back the following night.The staff are very attentive, nice clean environment and the food was delicious.

We are in the process of moving to Shaftesbury, so thought we would check out what would be our new localAfter reading some recent reviews, we had our concerns. The 1 star reviews couldn't be further from the truth. The staff were lovely (having a laugh with our 3 year old daughter), food was great (and reasonably priced), arrived quickly and the guiness was greatMost of us had the carvery and it was spot on. Looking forward to visiting again soon

Subway

So much better than before. Obviously made some improvements. Service was a little slow as for some reason they only had 1 worker over lunch, but he was great. Atmosphere is difficult as it's such a small store - I wouldn't want to eat in. Food was good, but for some reason they just didn't have anything we wanted - some kind of stocking issue. Will rereview again shouldParking: There is parking but can be touchy and people park like loonies.

KFC Shaftsbury - Ivy Cross

Great KFC. This outlet has really changedsince my last visit a couple of years ago.Called in today and was met by very attentive staff with a smile. Put my order in and was served within a few minutes.Excellent.Will definitely use again when in area. Highly recommended. 5*****
