I made a last-minute booking for Sunday lunch and the gentleman who answered the phone managed to fit us in, for which we were very grateful. The food and the service were exemplary - I can see why it's impossible to book Christmas Day Luncheon here! All four of us couldn't fault the meal, from starters to coffee and petit fours, and the staff were so welcoming, friendly and efficient. The only very tiny quibble was the lack of finger bowls after de-shelling the delicious prawn!

The staff were short-staffed but they just got on with it.The location is pretty.The dinner experience was out of an Agatha Christie novel; pre-dinner drinks from a little wheeled trolley looking out onto the garden and the dining room is pretty.Walkability: The walk to Sherbourne was very pretty and quiet
Loved this hotel in a nice quiet peaceful location but still accessible to towns and villages nearby. Room was very nice albeit on the top floor but worth the view from the window. Room was large and so was the bathroom. There was a good breakfast choice with a nice view of the garden from the restaurant. Were very pleased with our one night stay and would certainly use this place again if in the area and recommended it to friends and family.Rooms: Our room was on the third (top) floor and was of a good size as was the bathroom. Be advised there are no lifts.Food & drinks: Had an evening meal here too which was well presented and had a couple of starters/mains choices as a vegetarian. The homemade ice-cream for desert was delicious.

The spacious room was excellent with everything catered for from fluffy towels to dressing gowns and slippers. A walk in shower with everything included. This was our second stay at The Grange and in five years the improvement is remarkable. We highly recommend the Grange.

A lovely first stay at The Grange. If you want noise and a busy place, don't go, leave it to us! We were lucky with glorious weather and were able to take advantage of the very peaceful, beautiful garden. Our room was very well equipped, spacious and spotless with lots of little extra touches. We had our own seating area looking down the garden. Food was good with lots of choice. Staff were all very cheery and helpful, couldn't do enough and the icing on our cake was Neptune the gorgeous cat!
