My favourite coffee spot in the area! The team at the bean short certainly making one of the best coffees not just in Sherborne, but in the area. Always welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Folks are always open for a chat, everyone is very friendly. Not a very big place, but it has enough sitting space for probably 10-15 people and also it has a good flow of very different people. The Bean Shot offers a selection of snacks, carefully picked from small and independent local producers, as well as a coffee. Coffee beans can be purchased there too.

Very helpful on the phone, food was delivered quickly and hot!. The delivery person was very polite and courteous. The food itself was very nice and not at all greasy as it has been from some other places we have got a delivery from. There was plenty of it and at a good price. This was our first order from them but won't be our last! . Thankyou and keep up the good work.Parking: Car park next to shop is free after 6 pm.

What a little jewel!! It a lovely, cozy epitome of a provincial town cafe cum tearoom. It is a little compact inside but that's largely down to the building it resides in and in no way detracts from the experience, however because of its size it does fill up very quickly at peak times.The menu is very extensive with more than enough to tempt any appetite, it's more light lunches and things of that ilk rather than blowout banquets, and the quality of the food was exemplary, more than enough of everything and very well cooked and presented, and the biggest bonus in this day and age, very affordable too! We will be going back again when we're next in town, but a wee word of advice, if you want a table for lunchtime, do as we did and book in advance!!

This was the only place open to grab a bite to eat besides the Half moon which we were already staying at and so planned to have dinner in. So we popped in for a quick bite and to warm up.We had a nice toastie and shared some tomato soup. This was very pleasant. It was cosy and had a nice atmosphere.However, I don't know if it was just the holiday but they seemed very short staffed which meant the service was just a bit awkward. The staff were pleasant don't get me wrong. But when being served they seemed to insist on taking stuff to peoples tables even though there was a big queue and there was loads of used cups, plates and trays around which I needed to move to get a seat. This did not really bother myself and my company but it did seem a bit odd.Perhaps on a less hectic day for them I would have given them a full 5 stars but on that day it just seemed too disorganised and was a bit off putting. But otherwise it was an enjoyable and cosy bite to eat out of the cold.

Casual drop in for lunch. Wed 6th Dec. Establishment boasts very pleasant "olde world" charm. Waiting staff also very friendly with not even a hint of old world. Quite the opposite in fact, very much of the " young world" and most certainly, no doubts what-so-ever about charming. We are not big eaters so opted for the light meal option and then shared a sweet. The eventual bill was reasonable beyond words. Prices fell within the tripadvisor " cheap eats" category but the phrase is a bit of a misnomer. The "eats" were delicious but very reasonably priced. There was certainly nothing cheap about the quality of our meal. One hundred percent recommended. As Mr Schwarzenegger once said. "I'll be back"

I'm head over heels in love with this Italian cafe / deli / store ?? I recently enjoyed their fresh quality food, and haven't stopped dreaming about going back since! The cosy and warm welcome makes you feel like you've arrived at a friend's home (one with great coffee ☕), and the food.. Omgosh it's delicious?? HIGHLY recommend!

We didn't stay, we were only in for food which was absolutely delicious! It's not a place I would have booked as I've never really gotten excited about Italian food, how surprised was I to be eating one of the best meals I've ever had!!! We had the focaccia bread first then a mini cheese pizza and the venison ragu which was mouthwatering! And we followed that up with the feather steak and Herby potatoes advised by the wait staff to have it medium rare and oh my lord it was amazing!!!!! This place is without a doubt a must for food if you visit Sherborne!

THE GEORGE is a gem. I've been going there for years, with my old dad (who lives locally), The owner and staff are friendly and welcoming, the food is very good and reasonably priced, and you're in the oldest pub in Sherborne. The atmosphere is great. I would recommend The George to anyone. It's also in a great location... right at the top of Cheap Street (Sherborne's "high street"). Long may The George continue!Parking: Most of the time, you can park right outside on the street (with a time limit) but there are plenty of other parking options very close by at the top of the high street.

Whilst looking at a potential property in Yetminster, we stopped off at Old School Gallery Cafe. What a fabulous family run business. The Easter decorations were amazing as was the rest of the cafe. There was a great selection of sandwiches, cakes, cream teas and even a savoury option. Our coffee was good and hot. Much welcomed as it was raining and very windy. We also came away with a selection of cakes for later.

The service was good, with a clean environment despite having a few dogs in-house, there was no dog/ animal smell you'd usually associate with a place that allowed dogs. You won't notice them until you see them, so yes really clean.Parking: You can park on the street, but I also noticed a parking lot by the side.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, there is wheelchair access through another entrance and I noticed an electric wheelchair/ mobility scooter parked by the entrance for safe keeping and easy access.
