Great place to eat on our walk today. Interesting menu and great food and service. Loved it.

Lovely Inn with fantastic walking paths nearby. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Inn offered indoor and outdoor tables to enjoy a pint or homespun cocktail. Food was delicious and staff was very attentive and made you feel like a long lost friend. Hidden gem in the country - Would definitely recommend

We booked one night with dinner at The Queens Arms as its website looked inviting. We were shown our room which had no seating, a chest of drawers and three hangers. The towels were on the end of the bed, and while there was a small towel rail in the bathroom, the sets would not fit there. So it was clear you were not meant to stay in your room after unpacking, even though a small sofa would have fitted comfortably. The bar downstairs, which looks great, has an area with three comfortable seats, and a further corner with four. However, as both were occupied, we had to ask where to sit as all the tables were laid for dinner. We were shown a Juliet table with a small bench seat and a stool, which was hardly comfortable. The manager suggested we move later when one of the comfortable foursome became available. While the dinner was pleasant it was pricey - like everywhere today - vegetables are extra. In the morning, while we understood we had paid for bed and breakfast, as in all pubs and hotels at which we have stayed, the eggs and sausage were an extra £6 as we discovered at check out. Not a great experience

Very quiet when I arrived. Served quickly, politely, and efficiently. Pint was good quality.

A really good country pub with rooms. The decor and furnishings are absolutely beautiful. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming and the food is delicious! If you're ever in South Somerset or North Dorset it's well worth a visit!

I always tell it as i see it ,Lovely pub and rooms, but the service needs to be looked into as our room wasn't cleaned , after 3 days same towel, we kept on going down and asking for water and tea + coffee, milk is delivered to your door in the morning only enough for two ,we had to ask twice on different days for the room to be cleaned as this seemed to be falling on deaf ears, the staff at breakfast were very nice ,you only get continental and have to pay for a cooked breakfast but i think for £160 a night it should be included,I do hope they can overcome the cleaning and replenishing of the towels, tea and coffee problem. We supplied our own tea at first as none on arrival. Also we had to ask for water a few times as the bottle was not re-filled every day.

Food was fab and a lovely venue. Could only give 3 stars as the service was terrible. We waited 20 mins to order which the waitress did apologise for. The food was superb but after finishing our mains we waited for 40 mins just for someone to bring the desert menu!We gave up in the end up and then had to go to the bar and ask the barman for our bill.Such a shame as if the service was better it would have definitely been a 5 star review.

A really great place, they have put a lot of thought into the look and feel of this place. Our 2nd time visiting and it was very pleasant. There are nice walks with amazing views nearby which are worth doing. There is some parking in the pubs car park but mostly it its along the small country road, wheelchair accessible and children friendly and even dogs and walkers are welcome. Also electric car charging points out front too.The food looks to be of a high standard and the drinks are local and varied, there is also a zero alcohol option on tap.The Staff are friendly and welcoming which makes ALL the difference at any public house or restaurant and is what plays a huge part in whether we return, we will come back here next time we are visiting. All in all a very pleasant and relaxing service. We'll done Queens arms?Walkability: Good walking in the areaFood & drinks: A good varietyNoteworthy details: Electric car chargers at the front of the building

We stayed in a courtyard room which was very comfortable. En-suite shower room could do with some TLC. Cracked floor tiles, some mould in the window. No tissues. No tv remote which was quickly attended to. A very comfortable bed and a good nights sleep. The doors are very noisy to close but luckily no one got up too early in the rooms near us. We booked dinner bed and breakfast. The dinner was excellent and the staff very helpful. Breakfast continental was ok, just the basics, once again nice staff but I cannot remember ever being charged for a second cup of coffee anywhere.

Stunning pub which looks like it has been refurbished throughout but has still retained much of its historical characteristics. We visited for an evening meal. Service was excellent and staff friendly. Food was good though I found my pork collar dish a little tough and chewy. Food is also a little on the pricey side for what it is.

Excellent pub, great rooms and a superb restaurant, with very pleasant walks from the front door to some lovely west country scenery. Breakfast also very good, with a mix of options from the healthy to the Full English.

Disappointed on my last visit to the pub for a friend's birthday lunch. They were cooking everything on the BBQ outside, and 3 out of 4 dishes arrived stone cold and undercooked. We sent them back and ordered some starters. But it was a shame - have been here before and the food was excellent. The staff were very apologetic and nice, and they comped our drinks for us.

It's the first time we've been to the Queen's since their refurbishment and what an amazing job they have done. It looks amazing. Our evening lived up to the setting. We had nibbles to start - all of them. Then we both had fish - one whole Plaice and fish and chips followed by Sorbetto and Affogato. All of which were delicious. Add that to excellent service and you have a perfect evening.

We stayed for one night as a break on our way to Cornwall. We stayed in room 4 which was very ‘compact’ putting it nicely. Apart from the bed there was one hard wooden chair, which was all there was to sit on and as it was pouring with rain we had to spend best part of 4 hours in our room, it was most uncomfortable! The carpet was badly stained which was rather off putting and the hot tap in the bathroom was a mere drizzle. Dinner in the evening was also not the best , we both had the bavette steak which was very chewy and I left half of mine which was not commented on really, even though it was mentioned when the waiting staff asked if all was ok. Continental breakfast was included which again not extensive but adequate and cooked breakfast offered for extra charge. All in all I couldn’t really recommend this as a stop over but probably the fact that it was just pouring with rain didn’t help.

An excellent establishment for both food and rooms. It makes the Newt look 2nd class; indeed the Newt could take some notes!
