Paid £12.00 for a crab sandwich which was mainly paste, couldn’t eat it, it was revolting, also the chips were cooked in old burnt oil!

My favourite part of Swanage. Amazing view, good selection of drinks, friendly staff.

What’s happened to this place? Obviously a change in ownership and a ‘we don’t care what we serve you attitude’.I’d be gutted if I previously owned it and saw what it had become. I’ve genuinely never experienced such rude staff and shocking seafood. The staff i spoke to had the attitude of, you ordered its your fault! We ordered a sea food platter which we’ve had every time we’ve been down to Swanage over the years. What turned up wasn’t anything like what was on the menu it was mainly a plate of deep fried frozen food for £35.This place is situated in a prime location by the sea, why not care a bit and cook fresh and make use of the local produce like you used to.A real shame but they won’t last long at this rate people will get wise and look at the terrible reviews as I’m not the only one.

Very disappointed with crab and cucumber sandwich for takeaway. The cost was £12.50 representing extremely poor value for money. It looked like a well-filled sandwich but consisted predominantly of thick chunks of diced cucumber concealed by a thin layer of crab. The predominant taste therefore was of cucumber which overwhelmed the taste of the crab. Won’t be visiting again.

Absolutely awful food. We got the pint of prawns and fish and chips, both of which were clearly frozen and had been defrosted. The prawns were fridge-cold and rubbery. When I asked why they weren’t fresh, the kid behind the counter said that they had been pre-boiled and then shipped in from a supplier in packs. No offer to replace with another meal (even with only a partial discount). All they’ve got going for them is the location really.

We both had the crab sandwich which was very nice but would have preferred fresh crusty bread. The staff were great and the food came out promptly

We had 2 really good meals here. The first was an evening meal without the kids. There was a group from the RNLI singing shanties which added to the atmosphere. We liked it so much we took the kids for lunch the next day.The food was good, the drinks were good. There was no table service but the staff were really helpful. There are no toilets but they are only a short walk away. It was a little chilly in the evening so it's probably a good idea to take a jumper.Vegetarian options: Not sure what other options there were but my husband enjoyed the cheese pizza so much he had it twice!Kid-friendliness: There's not play area or anything but they welcome kids and have a decent kids menu. There's plenty for the kids to watch to keep them entertained with a good view of the boats and people walking past.

Arrived late on Friday evening after travelling down from London . We had classic fish and chips with curry sauce. The fish was fresh and beautifully cooked and delicious. Great chips and sauce . The staff were lovely and friendly , great service. We were taking ours away, but what a great location to sit and enjoy your meal .Highly recommend

Perfect location for a lunch, food is brilliant and with very friendly service. Don’t worry about the queues they go down quick and the food is ready to collect within minutes. Top tip make certain you order sufficient drinks to avoid re queuing . Table service available on the roof but allow time to get a table as the roof area is extremely popular. Best Location and food in Swanage.

I had fish & chips, it was not nice, very reminiscent of frozen battered fish which I avoid at all costs & even the chips tasted weird. My husband had mussels which he said was amazing. The position is undoubtedly beautiful and service was friendly etc. I personally would only return for a drink and maybe some crisps whilst my husband eats his mussels!

I was debating between the dressed crab salad or the seafood platter.I chose the dressed crab salad and it was really delicious.I’m glad I chose this and not the seafood platter.Someone on another table had the seafood platter and it was definitely not worth the £30 they were charging for it.So in my opinion I made the right choice.
