Just had a very nice coffee here, and it was excellent. The coffee served here was hot, unlike many other cafes. The service was both friendly and speedy. I'll definitely go again when I have more time and sample some of the food on offer that looks delicious.

Enjoyed a very tasty lunch here of sausage and mash. Three types of excellent local butcher's sausages, with onion gravy, mashed potatoes and a mixture of seasonal veg. Very good food, service and value for money.Food & drinks: Enjoyed a very tasty lunch here of sausage and mash. Came here for sheltering from the rain whilst waiting to be picked up by friends. Food is very tasty. More like a restaurant than a pub but they have tables where you can sit for quite a bit.

Historical hotel since 1550, clean rooms, good food in the restaurant. And wifi and tv available in the rooms. 2 older ladys run this place and make you feel welcome. Great atmosphere when you like a historic place..

Sadly although we enjoyed our meal here service levels were very poor. Just one waitress on a Saturday night and the poor girl did not stop from the time we got in.

An absolutely charming little place made even better by the excellent customer service. Spotlessly clean, good sized room with toiletries supplied together with ample tea, coffee, milk and biscuits. The staff work so hard (particularly one lady who was constantly on the go) and are incredibly courteous and helpful. An excellent breakfast (plenty of choice too) followed by a late check out made for a wonderful, relaxing couple of days. Also central to Wareham and the surrounding attractions of Dorset. Would definitely recommend.

A tired little hotel, the website makes it look better than it is. The rooms look modernised on the website but it is all a bit tired. You get what you pay for..Some limited parking in the street outside or in a small area in a lane behind the hotel.

Such a nice place excellent food and very calming environment. We found this place completely by accident and pooped in for lunch. Good menu with a excellent variety of food, reasonably priced and very courteous staff. Made to feel welcome

Excellent food, not over pricey. Very good service from the one waitress on what seemed to be a quiet evening. A very lucky & pleasant surprise to have spotted this restaurant and it was some way through our visit that we realised most people in the restaurant were in accommodation in the hotel. Whilst we cannot comment on the hotel, we can give 5 stars to the restaurent.
