The Castle Inn, West Lulworth

We had a lovely one night stay here when walking a portion of the south west coast path at the end of May. The staff were all lovely - really friendly and genuine. The pub had a nice character of a ‘proper’ pub with a mix of locals and tourists. Our evening meal was delicious- really nice food and great service but in at atmosphere that still felt warm and causal.

Our room was lovely - in the oldest part of the building so full of character but well appointed and very comfortable. Breakfast was also very nice! Would definitely recommend.

The Castle Inn

What an excellent pub this is. We went Friday lunchtime, not having booked, they were quite busy yet they were happy to take us in. The food we had was excellent. The gammon steak was superb. The atmosphere is lovely with the old stone floor giving plenty of character. The landlord and landlady were welcoming and put us at ease. Thanks.

The Duke Of Wellington

We stumbled across this pub on our holiday, having just spent the day at nearby Monkey World. We were looking for somewhere to eat and wow the Duke of Wellington didn’t disappoint. We tucked into generously portioned roast beef dinners, while the children devoured chicken and chip basket meals. We were served promptly and professionally, by the friendly and welcoming staff. As a bonus there was live music going on with a small crowd creating a hip and joyous atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this pub for fantastic food, as well as to kick back with kind people.

The Kings Arms

10/10 An outstanding visit, made very welcome from the moment we arrived, and they happily accepted the dogs in the bar area of where we was given a lovely table by the window, service was outstanding, food all home made and very delicious, very attentive and even cooked up some sausages and provided some water for the dogs this kept us all very happy and overall very good value for money, will definitely be heading back here soon.

The Drax Arms

On holiday for the weekend and popped in to The Drax arms after a long drive on Friday night. Was greeted by excellent service and fantastic food. Good selection of beer and wine and reasonably priced food that didn’t loose on quality. We enjoyed ourselves so much that returned for the Bingo on the Saturday night. The service and atmosphere from the landlords Lou and Roo was next to none! Well worth a visit if you are in the area. We will be back!

The Salt Pig

Visited the Salt Pig for some lunch and a coffee and discovered a gem of a place. The food & coffe was amazing and can't fault the service. A great place to stop and refuel.

The Italian Kitchen

We went here on a recommendation for the roast platter. We were not disappointed, it was the best roast I've ever had. Top quality meats, beautiful sides, generous portions & everything was superb. Can't fault it at all, this will be a regular visit for us on Sundays going forwards. We're going to try the Italian menu midweek as well.

Allstars Sports Bar & Cafe

We booked this to celebrate my Dad’s 70th and had about a 100 people attend; it felt such a lovely cosy and welcoming venue. Food, staff were both exceptional, couldn’t do enough for you and would highly recommend using them. They’re a credit to Wareham :). Thank you again.

The Italian Bakery Wareham

Visited here after a recommendation from a local and we weren’t disappointed! Fantastic setting with indoor and outdoor seating. So many delicious cakes and breads on display! Can highly recommend the millionaire shortbread and the Belgian bun plus saw other customers who ordered the sandwiches which looked incredible! Hot chocolate was on point too and came with a small piece of shortbread!

Williams the Baker

We visited Williams Village Bakery Shop in Wool and were blown away by how lovely it was. The smell of the cakes and fresh food as soon as we walked in was amazing, and everything looked so tasty. The two ladies serving were fantastic, so kind, welcoming, and genuinely friendly. What really stood out was how they spoke directly to my young daughter, asking her what she wanted rather than just asking me. It made her feel included and so happy, which I thought was such a lovely and thoughtful touch. A wonderful bakery with great food and even better service. We’ll definitely be back if were around here again!

The Olive Tree Cookery School

What a gem of a cooking school. I completed (with 6 others) the India cooking course on Saturday (21st Feb) and it was great. Giuseppe is very experienced, knowledgable, and patient . I highly recommend.

This is not the typical master chef style cooking school with cooking stations. It is a lot more fluid and requires team work, communication with pauses for skills/ technique demonstrations …. Much like a working kitchen.

Very good restaurant. First class food, first class service and all for a very good price. We were visiting whilst on holiday and will definitely come back here again when we are next in the area.

The Bear Wareham

The vegetables are cooked in their own way with flavour and taste. Cauliflower cheese eg gorgeous. Vegan broccoli dish unbelievable with the most loveliest sauce of chimichurri ?
Staff are really so kind. I had a little situation with my eye and I was looked after by the owners who genuinely care about their customers… the food and cleanliness is brilliant - I’m going to enjoy my beef pie now… Ellie the waitress is lovely too! The waitress Ruzana is soo kind and genuine and gentle, she belongs in a place with such lovely caring owners. Second time I have been here in two days just because of the gorgeous food and lovely vibe. Thanks. ? p.s can I have a free pie for loving you ?

Traditional English pub with an excellent selection of beer that changes regularly, a good menu with a choice for everyone, i've eaten here many times and have never been disappointed. If you wish to dine on Sunday lunchtime, then you will need to book a couple of weeks in advance as it's always very popular.
