As regular visitor, this is one of my favourite eats, however today - lunchtime 18th March - service was abysmal.... table was cleared, but not wiped of crumbs and whatever, so had to ask for it to be wiped clean....then coffee arrives , no sugar bowl in sight or with coffee, again had to go to counter to ask.Come on Salt Pig , simple instructions to staff maintaining the salt pig experience need to be passed to all staff, and checked to ensure continuity , this is basic hospitality, on this occasion you've fallen flat on your face .

Wow, what a find this place was!Initially we were disappointed as we had missed breakfast which we had heard was good. Instead, we ordered from the lunch menu and were so NOT disappointed. The food was out of this world, they went out of their way to make us and our two massive dogs very welcome! We will most definitely be back!

Lovely eclectic food, also great fresh meat from local farmers. The only downside is there aren't many tables.

The food is as hearty as it gets, and the staff is absolutely lovely. I'd highly recommend the pulled lamb and the quiche.

I was surprised by the rudeness of the staff, unfriendly and unhelpful.

The local produce is very good. The quiche ad sausage rolls I found are very rich to my taste. Tha salads are nice.

Seduction in the form of sausage rolls in the shop window ?. Stopped to explore the town and a stroll along the river, this looked like the place to be. Good choice of sides to go with the freshly baked sausage roll, so was definitely a great choice. Coffee good too.

Sunday roast. 4 people. Food was good, apart from the red cabbage (which I felt was way over cinnamoned and left). Service was great considering Santa was coming to town for the yearly parade, and they were very busy. Small venue, but cosy. Will be back to Try the

Top Drawer Having seen the cafe and butchery online I wanted to visit with my wife when we were in the area. Impressed would be an understatement. The set up is smart but fitting, but the key is the people. Friendly staff, without being over the top. Service exemplary, swift not rushed and checking that all was well. The food smelt divine and the two female front of house staff really looked after every customer. We only had coffee and cake. But the coffee was lovely and the bread and butter cake / pudding with dark chocolate, blackberry and apple was sublime. Literally a culinary masterpiece. And my son works in a Michelin starred kitchen. It was that good. The courgette and avocado cake my wife had was also lovely. Definitely worth a visit. This place is amazing.
