Excellent food one of the best I have ever had, genuine home cooking & very friendly staff. A real old English pub atmosphere.

I can't recommend this place enough! Amazing service, friendly welcome and so accommodating. We booked a late table on Mothers Day for a family meal for a table of 6. When we arrived we were the last table of the day.We had the Sunday Roast which was out of this world! Good size portion, lots of meat and that gravy!!! I don't know how you guys make it but please don't ever change it! It was lush! The desserts were good too and we all had such a lovely time. This was quite a special meal due to mums that are no longer with us, so thank you from the bottom of my heart for a wonderful experience as a family :)

Had a very enjoyable meal at The Silent Woman earlier this week. Despite being a quiet Monday night partly due to a road closure outside the pub the hosts were very welcoming and went out of there way to please. In particular having informed in advance of a non meat eating diet the chef cooked up a delicious plant based Spanish Chicken style dish. Coupled with a very nice selection of beers and wines I am looking forward to a return visit next time I am visiting the Wareham area.

Stopped for coffee ordered an espresso and an americano got a dbl espresso not a problem but charged £8 its a bit steep for 2 coffees at least you do get a dbl shot. Freindly staff.

Went there whilst visiting family for Sunday lunch we all had roast diners which were good and all the sauces came in little sealed pots which we have never come across before. Nice friendly staff and obviously a very busy and popular venue.

First and only time I would ever go to this place.. We only wanted a drink and a snack. The lady behind the bar was so rude. Told us we could only have a soft drink in a certain size glass after us asking for a pint of it. She heard us mention snacks and repeatedly said that a small standard bag of crisps was £2.60!!!!! Shockingly expensive. The women's toilets had carpet which I think is extremely unhygienic. Wont be going back.

Booked a family roast for 8 people when the menu was provided we had a choice of 4 options no kids meals options available , the menu was not the same menu as stated on their website. We asked whether we were able to request extra Yorkshire puddings and were told no despite willing to pay extra, £8 for a tiny desert was extortionate, my Autistic niece asked if she was able to just have Ice cream we were told that it would cost £8 seriously? £8 for a small scoop of ice cream?, I requested the bill which stated they had charged us £16 for each of the two kids meals well atleast that’s what we thought they were as when ordering food we were not corrected despite saying “please can we have the KIDS Cumberland” despite the willingness to still pay and feeling as if this should have been honoured as I was not informed upon ordering and wanted to explain this. I was greeted by the red head who I assume to be the Manager and whom obviously has anger issues is extremely rude, he doesn’t let you get a word in edgeways he was extremely hostile…, rude is very much an understatement, he certainly needs to learn some manners and hospitality. We were thoroughly looking forward to visiting this pub but will not return and we will not be recommending. We have left extremely angry with the way we have been treated. The girls who served us thank you for your hospitality , i do however sympathise immensely with having to work under such an awful person god forbid he be the management. Money not well spent! AVOID! The owners should be looking into the staff they have running this place.

Arrived on time for Sunday lunch only one other party there so not busy. Greeted by young girl and gentleman, seated all 8 of us ,very cold in the pub, service very slow and slopy , Sunday lunch not worth £17 limited menue children either have Sunday roast at there reduced price or pay adult price for everything else. We asked for an extra Yorkshire for one of our party which couldn't be done ,we asked for bowl of ice cream for a child which the girl said she would find out if they could, she duly did starting it would be £8 for one scoop in a tiny bowl which we declined.when we questions wrong charges for kids dinner when we requested two kids dinners and the girl went and got the manager. This was fun what a horrible obnoxious little chap he was rude dosenot cover it his attitude was tuff luck that's the menue, we explained the menue is not very clear he could not give a monkeys and repeated I can't see what the issue is, no one clearly cares about that business as the young girls serving clearly had no clue about anything . Would not go back there again I am local at one point used to be my local havant been in there for years and will not for many more years . In all service 1 Pub itself 3 Food 3 Manager 0 Avoid like the plague you will not have a pleasant experience.

Had pre booked for a Sunday Roast for 8 people . The menu online is totally different to the menu options given in the pub restaurant. The layout of the menu needs to change along with stating which meals on the menu are aluts only portions We had an awful experience all round , firstly the menu layout is not very clear as we ordered 2 kids Cumberland sausage meals and when getting the bill was charged for adult meals . Secondly when ordering pudding my daughter who is autistic only wanted a bowl of ice cream, which the waitress had to check was allowed evan though all the puddings came with an option of Ice cream or cream . We were then informed that we could have ice cream but at the same cost as the other puddings a cost of £8 for a scoop of ice cream ! When getting the bill we questioned the wrong charge of the kids meals but was presented by a very rude manager ,who firstly stood behind everyone especially to the person who spoke to him from our party and while explaining the error of the menu he over spoke continuously and was extremely rude ,making the comment I don't see what your issue is ?. My issue is that the customer service was terrible and that non of the staff were apologetic nor did they know there own menu and when a query was asked they had to check before answering. I will not be recommending this place to anyone especially not the autistic community as they do no cater very easily for simple changes to suit different needs .
