Popular juicer on a Sunday - lots of diners. Several, separate bars including pool table. Well kept beer. Pleasant staff. Well worth a try. You'll soon find out if the visitors are local - ask them how to pronounce the village name - dead giveaway!

Really good little country pub in a lovely Dorset village. Great beer, great food, friendly locals and great hosts. Very nice.

Fab Sunday dinner, would highly recommend. Goid choice of meat but also lamb shanks were on offer. Absolutely delicious ?

Just busy enough to have a pleasant atmosphere but not so loud you can't have a conversation. Well kept beer and pleasant service. Although I highly recommend they ask someone how to change their Wi-Fi password to something sensible!

Really excellent value for money and tasty Sunday Roast but for me the Mediterranean Tart was just superb. Proper crispy, tasty chips and a lovely fresh salad accompanied the tart which was simply the best I have ever had. We sat outside in the charming garden and overall this was just a brilliant place to eat.

Lovely pub with friendly staff, unfortunately food was disgusting. Fish pie was over microwaved causing thin sauce to curdle. A few pieces of white fish, no smoked fish or prawns. My husband ordered a beef burger, it was served in a plain untoasted bread roll. We thought we had misread menu and been served a plant based patty, it was a strange texture rather like dry rubbery sausage meat, not at all juicy, chips were good, fat and crunchy. Left feeling hungry and dissapointed . Great place for a drink but avoid food.

As a village pub should be. We could tell by the warm and welcoming atmosphere when we walked in that we’d be happy at The Crown. We arrived hungry on a Friday eve after walking nearly 5 miles from Abbotsbury and the landlady kindly looked after us even though they were fully booked for dinner. Classic pub menu with very reasonable prices. Chicken pies were tasty and the chips sensational so our thanks to the chef too!

Reasonably priced food in a lovely village setting. Pub with quirky old fashioned character. Food ok for the price. Had red Thai curry which was pleasant and filling. Not a gastro pub by any means but if you are looking for a quick meal that is served promptly and tastes good then we found this fitted the bill after a day on the beach and not wanting to cook!

Lovely cosy pub with a homely and friendly feel. Food was served quickly and the menu offered a good range of choices at a very reasonable price. Would recommend for anyone looking for good pub food

Two of us Visited on Saturday night, the place was lovely and clean, buzzy atmosphere and full of customers drinking and eating. We were lucky enough to find a table and was served quickly. However the fish and chips was a disappointment, bought in battered fish looked like frozen from Iceland. Being less than 2 miles away from the sea, surely they could source some fresh fish and charge a little extra. What a shame, maybe next time we will try something else and hope that its fresh.
