came here for a birthday. we weren't advised beforehand that half of the menu was unavailable. but then almost every meal was made incorrectly when brought out to us. we also had a surprise cake which was ruined as the runner came out with plates before bringing out the cake. telling us "we have the plates for your cake" which completely ruined the surprise. to then proceed to bring out empty boxes for the cake yet we still had no cake at our table. it was for a 21st birthday so obviously special, and everyone is really upset with how this evening planned out.

Nice enough pub. Roast dinners, choice of meats. Would be better if they didn't use frozen roast spuds. Wasn't bad, could be a little better.

Visited for a 21st Birthday Meal and had a very disappointing experience. We started by ordering drinks at the table, however the waiter was unable to provide a drinks menu, or know what drinks were available, resulting in him having to make trips to the order machine to find out what drinks they had. When we started ordering we found that most of the items we wanted on the menu were not available, which left us to choose for a small selection; we were informed this was due to restaurant closing the next day for refurb – we were not made aware of this when booking. When the food arrived it was very slow, about 10 mins from first plate till last; then a lot of the orders were incorrect or missing items. When pointing one of the incorrect orders the waitress was heard to say "oh for f**** sake". The orders took a long while to resolve, most people had finished their meal while others were waiting for their side orders to arrive. We had arranged a surprise birthday cake for after the meal, when we asked for it they bought out the plates first and announced loudly they were for the cake, spoiling the surprise. The waiter then came over and asked who the cake was for so they could clear an area in front of him – again taking away the surprise element. They then started to bring the empty cake box over to the table before the cake had arrived. I have been to many birthday meals over the years in many different places, and I have to say this was the worst and most unprofessional experience I have ever witnessed. When we went to pay the bill, we asked if we could split and pay individually. We were told this was OK, but when the first person went to pay their share, the staff member took all the bill from his card, resulting in a 3 days wait to get his money back.

Great Sunday lunch with a family group (including 3 children). Service was excellent and we were made to feel really welcome. Activities were provided to keep the children busy and the children’s meals were very generous in terms of portion sizes. We especially liked that you could have a hot drink with a tiny pudding which is often just enough. Would recommend for families and will definitely return.

We hired the skittle alley for our daughters 18th in december 23. It was perfect, cosy and just right. They supplied what we needed to include pool table twinkly lights and tv screen for memeroble photos. It was well priced for 3 hr hire. And the three large bowls of chips, were delicious and deserving of a revisit! Would recommend ?

Very pleasant Pub to visit whilst waiting for a customer, I had found this place via Google and the reviews for food were great.Warm festive welcome was awaiting me, I had the hunters chicken upon recommendation and it did not disappoint, absolutely delicious! The side of the onion rings were just to die for!When I'm back in the area, I'll be back for round 2!Parking: Remember your reg as you walk in as they monitor and check for people using the car park for free, so use the clipboard and paper to mark your registration down.

14 of us came for breakfast with Santa. Wow. It was perfect. Santa was unbelievable, from his beautiful outfit to his wonderful laugh. Everything about him was amazing. The kids were mesmerised. They did a little treasure hunt and received lovely presents. The food was delicious, the service was great and the staff were lovely and very friendly. We would definitely visit again. Thank you x
Arrived to a lovely welcome by ‘Mum’ and her daughter. We had not been for a while and it felt like a home-coming. Sunday lunch was delivered to our table and couldn’t wait to start eating our favourite dish: lamb shank. Absolutely delicious with an unbelievable gravy, I wished how they made it. Finished our meal the mini Eton Mess dessert with coffee, again perfect ending and didn’t feel too full. I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant and intend repeating our visits.

We have visited this lovely pub on previous trips to the area. It never disappoints, really good food, the freshly cooked halloumi was amazing. The staff are very good , always smiling and ready to help. Warm, welcoming pub, how they should be. Highly recommend a visit.

Been here a few times for drinks and meals . I think what I really like about The Coach and Hoarses is the staff and service . When you walk in they are very attentive and helpful. We had a meal Saturday evening, we didn't book but we're still welcomed in . Food was very good with lovely service . While food was served the waitress also checked we were happy with everything and asking if we had any recommendations on how they could improve there service or food . Really impressed with the quality of customer care which for me goes a long way today . Thank you .

Had a lovely dinner here tonight that was thoroughly enjoyed by all - even our dogs were spoilt with some sausages! Staff are incredibly friendly and always happy to help, couldn’t recommend this lovely place more. An overall homely, comfortable pub with delicious food.
