Mill St, WimborneWe visited The Coventry Arms for the second time at the weekend. What AMAZING service… the staff are so generous with their time. And the food! We had awesome meals… the gammon egg and chips … EXCELLENT! The fish and chips… absolutely DELICIOUS!! What a perfect way to spend a couple of hours on a Saturday evening. LAMBS GREEN INN, Lane, Corfe Mullen, WimborneThe food was tasty even though it didn’t always look it. Standard fare but lots of it. We were all full by the end.
We sat out in the garden which was large and not too busy. We did wait quite a long time for our food and asked after it a couple of times. Luckily we had plenty to talk about. I'm not sure how they would cope if the place was full.
When the food came, it was hot and fresh which helped mitigate the wait.
There were some lovely old cars in the car park which we stopped to admire on the way out.
A pleasant pub diner that I'd give another go if I was ever in the area again.

The prawn green curry and jasmine rice was delicious and in my opinion a much better flavour than Nusara Thai (also in Wimborne). Very authentic Thai, would order again!

4-5 The Square, Wimborne Minster, WimborneI went to Piazzo Lounge and honestly it was really nice. The whole vibe is just really chill and cosy, like it’s not too fancy but still feels a bit special. It’s the kind of place you can just sit and talk for ages without feeling rushed.
The menu has loads of options which is good, especially if you don’t know what you want. The food was actually really good as well, like not anything crazy but still really tasty and filling. There’s a good mix of stuff so it’s easy to find something you’ll like.
The staff were nice and pretty relaxed, which just made it feel more comfortable. It can get a bit busy but that’s kind of expected.
Overall I’d definitely go again, it’s just a really easy place to go when you want good food and a nice atmosphere without it being too much.

We were seated and given the menu, mum recieved a complimentary drink as it was for Mother’s Day, and when the food arrived it was exceptional. I highly recommend this place and mum is already pestering me to take her back.

The cafe itself was cosy and inviting. I feel like this cafe is slightly off the main drag of shops and cafes so might go unnoticed but please do yourselves a favour and walk a further minute around the corner. You won't regret it.

The Staff were very warm and welcoming amd very professional. food was superb the restaurant was very warm and welcoming and what you’d expect from a country side establishment. On a side note the only thing I have a big issue with was that we had ordered Mac and cheese off the kids menu for our son and little girl.and the dish’s they came out in was extremely hot to which I found out when my little girl hurt her arm on and to the point that I had to empty the food out onto the plate and could still feel the heat threw a folded napkin I had used to hold it, and apparently this is common practice when I raised the complaint about it but in future could you please transfer to a colder dish after cooking because a child could get seriously hurt from how HOT that was and knowing it’s going to children there should be some for of steps in place to avoid situations like this.

Also an open mic, which was an unexpected bonus - v good entertainment.
I don't know if I'll be staying around there again, but if I do I'll stay here.

Enjoyed perfect whitebait followed by a wonderful lasagna that had the classic Italian richness I remember from childhood holidays in a VW Camper. Prices are good (given inflation) and definitely comparable to other local pubs. Staff are very friendly and super efficient, I noticed none of the other diners waited long for their orders. Lots of room indoors and very comfortable outside seating which is a joy as summer approaches.

Deans Court, 2 Deans Ct Ln, WimborneWe honestly cannot thank Georgia, Jon, Henry, Sass and the whole team at Deans Court enough for making our wedding day so incredibly special. We booked Deans Court 18 months before our wedding, and from the very beginning, the communication and support we received was brilliant. Georgia started the process with us before handing everything over to Jon and the team, and everyone made the whole planning journey feel so easy and seamless. Having an online spreadsheet where we could keep all of our wedding information, plans and details in one place was absolutely perfect for us. It was so organised and made keeping track of everything incredibly straightforward. All of our emails were answered quickly, thoroughly and informatively, and we always felt like we had someone there to help whenever we needed it. The team were incredibly accommodating throughout the whole process. They allowed us to visit the venue multiple times, and were especially understanding when we wanted to bring our children, who have SEN, to see the venue beforehand. This meant that the venue wasn’t a completely new or overwhelming environment for them on the wedding day, which meant so much to us as parents. The support in the days surrounding the wedding was also incredible. Being able to bring all of our wedding decorations and belongings to the venue the day before, with the team then helping to set everything up and take it all down afterwards, took such a huge amount of stress away from us. On the wedding day itself, we were able to simply enjoy ourselves, spend time with our family and friends and actually be present in the moment rather than worrying about logistics. The team also liaised with all of our suppliers, making sure everything ran smoothly and seamlessly behind the scenes. It honestly felt like we could completely trust them to take care of everything. And it wasn’t just the big things — it was all the little details that made such a difference. Making sure we always had a drink, checking whether we’d eaten, asking if we needed anything and constantly making sure we were okay. Those small gestures showed just how much they genuinely cared about us having the best possible day. Deans Court was the most beautiful setting for our wedding, but it was the people who made the experience so special. We felt supported, looked after and completely at ease from the moment we booked until the moment we left. Honestly, we wish we could do it all over again! We cannot thank Georgia, Jon, Henry, Sass and the entire Deans Court team enough for everything they did for us. You went above and beyond and gave us the most incredible wedding day and memories that we will treasure forever. Thank you all so, so much! ❤️

Orchard Bay Bakery
Holwell farm, CranborneWe spent an overnight in Cranborne and our B and B served bread from this bakery at dinner and breakfast. Called into the village shop on leaving and saw a five seed spelt sourdough sliced loaf to buy. And what a great taste!! Perfect for the toaster, not full of big holes like some sourdough. And better still, it looks like we can get more in Wimborne. Thank you for your great work.

However, I find it incredible they have such a high price point before they give you a bag of prawn cracker. My previous local gave me a bag on a ten pound order. Despite being a regular I need to spend at least £25 for a free bag or prawn cracker, and it keeps going up, there is no conession or recognition for being a regular. Let alone any friendly greeting when you go there. A mixed bag.

Had prawn cocktail starter. Steak pie for main and apple crumble for dessert. All of the food both my partner and I had was great. Would definitely recommend this place. Will go back again.

I would recommend the Aperol spritz cocktail.\n There were 20 of us and all the food came out together and perfectly presented.
